Sat, Jan 9, Lazy Lakes RV Park,
Sugarloaf Key, FL: Woke
up this morning to a warm, non-windy day. Looked out the back window and the
lake was like glass. So, we got the bikes out, pumped up the tires, and went
for a bike ride. Ran into our fishermen, John and Larry, on the Bow Channel
bridge. Continued on, crossing over Hwy. 1 where the bike path continues on the
other side of the road. This section is nice. You’re in the mangroves with the
flats on one side with water birds galore. Biked to where you have to cross
Hwy. 1 again and decided to turn around. On the way back we stopped at the KOA
and enjoyed a cold drink. Then biked over to Chuck and Douglas’s place but they
weren’t home. Back to Lazy Lakes and cooled off for a while. Tonight we’re
going to the Waterfront Theater in Key West to see Casa Valentina. Looks to be
a nice evening, so hopefully we’ll be able to dine al fresco. Low 80s today and
beautiful.
