2021: The Glades RV Park: Drove
down to Fakahatchee SP today. The park
entrance was just off Rt. 29. But the
place we wanted to see was off Rt. 41.
The SP itself is really pretty with little lakes and streams. All kinds of hiking trails. We looked around there for a while and then
headed to the Fakahatchee strand on Rt. 41.
Was a beautiful walk through lush vegetation, huge cypress trees and even
royal palms. I was encouraged to see
most people wearing masks. Was a beautiful
day for it. 81 here today.

Somebody built this huge cairn. |

This strangler fig took over this tree and killed it. They start out as an epiphyte, but once they establish roots, they take over. |

I've never seen so many huge cypress trees. |
