Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Feeling better today, but only went out once.  Stayed inside the rest of the day.  Cooked up a big breakfast.  Fried up some potatoes with peppers and onions, along with sausage, eggs and biscuits.  Mike went out to run some errands later and I got the keyboard out and played some Christmas carols.  A pretty day—sunny and nice—but only in the 50s.  Tomorrow is supposed to be back in the 70s.  Left-over chili for dinner.  Watched the animated movie, “Up”.  Really cute!

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Only got up into the 50s today.  Went out once.  Couldn’t wait to get back inside.  Still feeling lousy.  Stayed inside all day lying around and bundled up.  Mike biked over to the office to get the mail.  He’s so brave.  Tomorrow is supposed to be slightly warmer.  Slightly.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Woke up this morning feeling dreadful.  You’d think I’d be feeling better by now.  Headed to Big Pine to do the laundry and grocery shopping.  After that we went to Pizza Works for their pizza and then back home.  The weather declined rapidly.  The wind was brutal—still is.  Spitting rain off and on.  Just plain nasty. I guess the people across the lake from us took their parrots back inside. They were doing a lot of squawking—the parrots, that is. Plan on going to bed early with some Nyquil. Upper 60s today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Still feeling like crap.  But it was a beautiful day.  I moved my chaise out from the shade of the awning and enjoyed the sun’s warmth.  Enjoyed reading my latest book and looking at the beautiful, blue, cloudless sky.  And watching Fat Albert up there keeping us safe.  Someone went snorkeling by in the lake.  Water must be pretty cold.  And there were a couple of ospreys up there chirruping to each other.  All in all a nice day.  Going to be the last one for a while.  The next three days are supposed to be not too nice.  High winds, rain, and cool. 77 today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Today was a washout.  Whatever Mike has/had I now have.  Started out feeling not too bad, but that didn’t last too long.  A pretty day, but cool.  I spent most of it lying in bed.  Tonight was the lighted boat parade too.  Oh well.  Maybe I’ll feel better tomorrow.

Lazy Lakes RV Resort, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  What a beautiful day!  Sunny with a deep blue, cloudless sky.  We walked around the lake and were gratified to see the water just about as pristine as when we first started coming here in 2005.  So I guess the two aerators they installed last year are doing their job.  Ran into John and Sandy on the way around.  Stopped at the office and dropped off our Netflix movie in the outgoing mail.  Back to our site and sat around outside enjoying the sun and relative warmth.  Ray and Carol stopped by to say hello.  Headed to the Tropic Cinema in Key West to see “Fair Game”—true story about Valerie Plume Wilson who was a covert CIA operative that was outed by someone in the Bush administration (Carl Rove?) as payback for her husband telling the truth about WMD.  After the show we walked down to the marina by the Westin where the cruise ships dock.  There were two in there when we were walking to the show.  They were carting the passengers back to the ship on the trolleys and conch trains.  Very rowdy group they were too.  The cruise ships had both left.  And no yachts in there yet.  Sat on a bench and watched the goings on for a while and then walked back through the Truman Annex to our truck.  Stopped at Walgreens on the way back and bought some lights for our palm.  Back to Lazy Lakes and talked with Craig for a while.  Then put on our new lights.  Looks pretty good.  73 today.

Lazy Lakes RV Resort, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Yesterday was cool but sunny.  Today was just plain nasty.  Cold, blustery, and rainy.  Went out once and my umbrella just about turned inside out.  Talked about going in to Key West to a show but decided not to.  Glad we didn’t because it was just a miserable day.  Mike walked over to the office to get our mail.  Our Netflix movie was there—“Rendition”.  Good movie about a guy thought to be a terrorist illegally arrested and tortured.  Tomorrow is supposed to be a little warmer.  We can only hope.
