Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Chilly and blustery again today.  Put the fixings for a pot roast in the crock pot and then took care of some computer stuff.  Hung around inside most of the day.  Drove to Key West late afternoon to see “Jack Ryan:  Shadow Recruit”.  Good action flick.  Smelled so good when we got back home.  Enjoyed a pot roast dinner, albeit a little late.  Upper 60s today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Really cold last night.  Had to get up in the wee hours and put the quilt on the bed.  Chilly today too.  We just hunkered down, watched another episode of “Winds of War”, played cribbage, and ate chili.  Mid-60s today and windy.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  A rather late night last night, so we slept in a little this morning.  Met our friends at the Aqua Nightclub on Duval.  Watched “Aqua Idol”, their version of American Idol, the proceeds all going to support the Waterfront Theater.  After Fiona performed, we left and walked up Duval to McConnell’s Pub where Fiona performs every Tuesday.  Had a blast.  Today we headed back to Key West to the Tropic to see “August:  Osage County” with Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts.  The 1:40 show was sold out, so we bought tickets for the 4:00 show and walked around Duval for a while and had some lunch at the Hard Rock Café. We saw the play a couple of years ago at the Waterfront Theater.  As I recall at the time it was pretty funny.  The movie was much darker.  A powerful movie with great performances by all.  Back home and hunkered down for the rest of the evening.  67 today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Did the laundry and grocery shopping today.  Went to the Laundromat on Kennedy in Key West and while the clothes were in the dryer we scooted around the corner and did the grocery shopping at Publix. Finished those chores and then had lunch at the Stoned Crab.  Started absolutely pouring down while we were having lunch.  Drove back to our park and put everything away.  A few people are going down to Aqua tonight in Key West.  They have an American Idol type competition going on down there, and our friend, Fiona, is one of the participants.  Our neighbor, Richard, stopped by to see if we were going and if we wanted to ride down with him.  Decided we’d probably go, but will drive ourselves because we won’t stay too late.  It’s not a nice night.  Still raining and looking uglier by the minute.  The high was 73 today earlier.  Now it’s in the 60s.

The beach at Ft. Zach--on a much nicer day than today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  This day dawned with the feeling of a beautiful spring morning.  The sun was shining.  The lake was like a big mirror it was so calm.  And the birds were singing merrily away.  A harbinger of things to come maybe?  But after checking the weather, tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and Wednesday the high is only going to be 62!  But we have today.  Mike went over for donuts and I took care of the cleaning.  Actually put on shorts and went outside to read my book.  I should have gone for a walk.  Happy hour tonight at the KOA and then dinner somewhere.  75 today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Sunny again today, but still cool.  Should remain like this for the next week or so.  We pretty much stayed in most of the day.  Watched “Titanic” and read my latest book.  Went to Key West and picked up my new sunglasses and had some dinner at Kennedy Café.  Came back and watched football.  67 today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another cool day.  Wasn’t bad in the sun, but still pretty cool.  We drove up to Big Pine Key to pick up our bikes from the bike shop.  Traffic terrible in Big Pine because of a marine flea market that’s going on this weekend.  Had lunch at Pizza Works, stopped at Walgreens and then back home.  We played cribbage.  And Mike beat me again.  Mike went for a ride and tried out his bike.  I won’t be biking for a while yet.  Upper 60s today.
