Thu, Dec 25:  Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Cloudy this morning, but it cleared in time for our Christmas dinner at the clubhouse.  Gerald and Esther called and are going to join the party as well.  Four pork roasts and a ham were on the grill as we went over for cocktail hour and it smelled wonderful.  A good time was had by all.  Ate too much and drank too much.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Really warm again today.  In the afternoon a little front rolled through with lots of rain and even thunder.  Didn’t cool it down any.  It’s still warm and sultry.  If anything, it’s even more humid.  Watched our Netflix movie and I did some computer maintenance.  Pretty quiet day.

Tue, Dec 23, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Had chores to do today.  Got the laundry and grocery shopping out of the way and then had pizza at Pizza Works.  Came home and put everything away.  Tired.  Sat outside reading in the warm sultriness fighting to stay awake.  Finally gave it up and succumbed to the air conditioned comfort of our fifth wheel.  85 today.

Key West.

Mon, Dec 22, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Much excitement today.  They delivered Carmen’s golf cart.  All decorated up.  We were helping her get used to driving it.  It’s a used one but seems in pretty good shape.  Happy hour tonight at the KOA pub.  After that a few of us went over to Boondock’s for some dinner.  Really warm and sultry today.  We actually had our air conditioning on for the first time.

Debbie's dog, Rusty, thinks it's pretty neat too.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Winter Solstice today.  But it was a warm and sultry day around here.  Really quiet too. Everyone hanging out inside I guess.  Carmen came over a couple of times.  We washed some windows on the outside of the fifth wheel.  That’s the only productive thing we did all day.  In the afternoon we drove into Key West and saw the movie “Interstellar” which was very long and too sci fi for me.  When we got home Debbie came over with some Christmas cookies for us.  Really good cookies.  Sat outside talking with Debbie and Carmen for a while.  Carmen just bought herself a golf cart.  This should be interesting.  She’s 95.  82 today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  It was 80 this morning when we got up!  That’s more like it!  Went to the Galley Grill for breakfast and then came back and sat around outside reading and enjoying this warm, sultry day.  We had a great time last night at the KOA.  We thought we were going to see Howard Livingston and the MM24 Band.  Imagine our chagrin when the band, Haywire, was performing.  Howie is there next week.  Oh well, we had a good time.  Danced my brains out.  Our neighbor, Carmen (95), danced just about every dance.  She is amazing!  Steaks for dinner tonight.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Spent the morning futzing around on the computer. After lunch I finally ventured outside. Went next door to see Carmen and sat with her for a while. Back to our site and read my book. Just finished “Tales of the Mountain Men” which is a riveting account of the stalwart men who plied the rivers and streams out west in search of beaver. They were amazing!  It feels chillier than it did yesterday.  But it’s beautiful and sunny.  Going over to the KOA tonight to see Howard Livingston and the MM24 Band.  Should be fun.
