Thu, Feb 6, 2020:  A nice morning.  I love listening to the mocking birds’ happy chatter every morning.  Really windy today.  But really quiet since most of the park is over playing bean bag baseball.  Maybe next year we’ll get on a team.  It does look like fun.  I went out for a short walk.  Finished my latest book, “Where the Crawdads Sing.”  What a great book.  Getting ready to read “The Mistress of the Ritz” about an American woman who worked with the French Resistance during WWII and entertained Nazi officers hoping to glean information for the allies.  True story too.  87 today.  Think it hit a record.

Tue, Feb 4, 2020:  Finally!  Success!  I was able to download and install the driver for my printer!  Yay!  A beautiful day today.  However, most of it was spent inside because I had two appointments that took most of the day.  82 today!  Perfect!

Mon, Feb 3, 2020:  Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs!  Great game yesterday!  Really cool this morning.  Got the grocery shopping and laundry out of the way.  Tomorrow I have a couple of appointments in LaBelle and wanted to get those two chores out of the way.  A nice, sunny day today.   74 was the high.  Still trying to get the driver installed for our HP printer.  Still no success.

Sunset in The Everglades.

Sat, Feb 1, 2020:  Expecting bad weather coming our way.  Put the awnings up.  Nothing but a little rain so far.  No wind.  Good thing I guess.  Nasty day out there though.  I decided to get on the computer and try to download a driver for our HP printer.  I was successful in downloading, but the file doesn’t show up anywhere in “my downloads” so I can’t install it.  I fear I’ll have to buy a new printer for the RV.  Frustrating.  Anyway, went for a walk yesterday and stopped by our neighbor three sites down.  They just bought a new Mobile Suites 44ft. fifth wheel.  It has a bath and a half and a residential washer and dryer.  They live in their RV full time, so they need the space.  It also has a dishwasher.  Jeeze.  He and his brother have sites next to each other.  They’re both really nice people.  We are lucky to have such nice neighbors.  Anyway, really raining hard now.  Probably in the 70s out there.

View from the patio at Grumpy's restaurant.

There's usually a herd of cattle across the river.  We are out in the country out here.  Love it!

Thu, Jan 30, 2020:  Drove to Ft. Myers and got Mike’s hearing aids fixed.  On the way back we stopped at the Boat House for dinner.  Turned out to be a pretty nice day.  It stormed and rained like crazy last night.  Today has been mostly cloudy.  We read and played spades on line for a while.  Left-overs for dinner.  Upper 70s today.

Going over the Edison Bridge.

At the Boat House for dinner.

Daisy stopped over for a visit this morning.  Couldn't go out because everything was wet.

Wed, Jan 29, 2020:  Picked up my laptop yesterday.  Still familiarizing myself with Windows 10.  Not sure yet about the battery situation.  Had a busy day yesterday.  We picked up my laptop, did the grocery shopping, took care of the laundry in LaBelle, had lunch at a Mexican restaurant next door to the laundromat.  Worked out well.  Back home, plugged in my laptop, put everything away, and then drove to Clewiston so Mike could pick up some scripts.  Today we head to Ft. Myers so Mike can get his hearing aid fixed.  So much for the golden years.  Daisy stopped by twice and crawled into my lap.  However, she came over when Charlie and Johanne’s lab, Molly, was here.  Molly went after Daisy, who held her own, even though she’s been declawed.  Haven’t seen her since though (sigh).

Bill all bundled up walking Abby, followed by Daisy.

Waiting as another dog walks by.

Sun, Jan 19, 2020:  The play last night was great.  Don’t know if they’re local or regional, but they’re all good.  A nice day today.  Went for a walk and returned a book to the library.  Watched football all afternoon.  Kansas City won—YES!  Taking the laptop to the computer shop tomorrow.  It’ll probably be there for three days.  Going to be cold here for the next three days.  80 here today.
