Thu, Feb 13, 2020:  It was pretty hot today.  Went for a walk early before it got too warm.  A nice breeze though.  Finished “Mistress of the Ritz” and started “The Guardians” by John Grisham.  I was going to make beef tips and gravy over noodles for dinner, but lost interest in cooking.  We’ll finish up left-overs tonight.

Wed, Feb 12, 2020:  Really foggy this morning.  I left Mike to his own devices and drove to LaBelle to run some errands and get my hair cut.  Had to kill some time between appointments, so went to Walmart to browse.  Had some lunch and then back home.  Walked over to see the Canadians for a short visit.  Grumpy’s for dinner tonight.  Upper 80s again today.  Yes!

Tue, Feb 11, 2020:  Got up this morning and started working on our tax return.  So far, so good.  Went to Crumb’s for lunch around 1:00.  They were slammed.  Didn’t get our food until 2:00 when they close.  Ate our lunch and the whole crew came out for a break since they’re getting ready to close up.  People kept coming at 2:20, even though they know they close at 2:00.  But they fed them anyway.  Such nice people.  In the afternoon Charlie stopped by with Molly on his way to the dog park.  Later Esther and Gerald came by for happy hour.  Really warm and humid today.  Nice!  Upper 80s.

Mon, Feb 10, 2020:  Had a busy weekend.  Mike’s son, James, and his wife, Carolina, came for a visit on Saturday.  Went to Sonny’s Barbecue for dinner before they left.  Because of a fishing tournament and a boat race event, they were slammed and out of a lot of menu items.  Bummer.  On Sunday, my brother, Ron, and his wife, Jan, came for a visit.  Was great to see them.  Haven’t seen them in a few years.  Today we got the grocery shopping and laundry out of the way.  Experiencing a really warm trend.  The lowest temps for the next 10 days will be 81.  Perfect!

Fri, Feb 7, 2020:  Not much going on today.  Started out pretty warm, but cooled down during the day.  We ran some errands in Clewiston.  That’s about it.  Supposed to be warmer throughout the rest of the week.  72 today.

Thu, Feb 6, 2020:  A nice morning.  I love listening to the mocking birds’ happy chatter every morning.  Really windy today.  But really quiet since most of the park is over playing bean bag baseball.  Maybe next year we’ll get on a team.  It does look like fun.  I went out for a short walk.  Finished my latest book, “Where the Crawdads Sing.”  What a great book.  Getting ready to read “The Mistress of the Ritz” about an American woman who worked with the French Resistance during WWII and entertained Nazi officers hoping to glean information for the allies.  True story too.  87 today.  Think it hit a record.

Tue, Feb 4, 2020:  Finally!  Success!  I was able to download and install the driver for my printer!  Yay!  A beautiful day today.  However, most of it was spent inside because I had two appointments that took most of the day.  82 today!  Perfect!
