Thu, Jul 9, 2020:  Day 111 of self-quarantine:  Mike went off to shoot skeet with Darwin this afternoon.  I’m getting ready to play spades for a while with an unknown partner.  Our pork roast last night turned out to be pork steaks.  Mike must have bought them at least a year ago.  The way it was wrapped, it looked like a pork roast.  Oh well, pork steaks are almost as good.  Low 90s today.  Hope Mike is careful.

Wed, Jul 8, 2020:  Day 110 of self-quarantine:  Really hot today.  Heat index of 104!  Didn’t even blow off the deck today.  I ordered one of those egg cooking thingys and it just came yesterday.  I cooked 4 eggs in it.  Then you rinse with cold water and shake it 10 times.  The shells are supposed to just about fall off.  Well it didn’t work that well, but it worked good enough that I’m ordering another one for the RV.  I’m doing a roast pork with honey-mustard sauce tonight for dinner.  With mashed potatoes and a vegetable.  Bon apetit!

Tue, Jul 7, 2020:  Day 109 of self-quarantine:  Really warm and humid today.  I only went out to blow off the deck.  That was enough for me.  Mike went out to pick up some scripts and picked up some lunch at Taco Bell.  A nice change.  Played spades for a while.  Somewhere in the 90s today.

Mon, Jul 6, 2020:  Day 108 of self-quarantine:  Supposed to rain today, but none so far.  I face timed with Steve this morning.  Dave is in the hospital for his surgery.  Hope he’s doing okay.  I love the face time thing.  Although I was a hot mess.  Steve looked really good.  He got his hair cut finally.  Said he didn’t want to look bad in his casket in case he got the virus.  LOL.  Not funny I know.  I told him he’s going to be cremated anyway. Played spades with Nomad.  He left me after two games.  Left-over steak for dinner tonight.  I get about three meals with Aldi’s steaks.  Low 90s again today.  More fireworks again last night, but not as bad as the night before.

Sun, Jul 5, 2020:  Day 107 of self-quarantine:  The fireworks drove me crazy last night.  Just locals around our neighborhood.  But it went on and on for hours.  How many fireworks did they have!!!  It was still going on at 3:00 a.m.  Hopefully it will be quieter tonight.  There’s a “party house” a couple of streets over in another neighborhood.  This group of people bought this place just for partying.  They put in a pool and a volley ball court—complete with judges stands. They take really good care of the place so they don’t piss off the neighbors.  With this covid thing going on right now, it doesn’t seem like a good idea.  I feel sorry for the dogs that are afraid of loud noises.  Low 90s again today.

Sat, Jul 4, 2020:  Day 106 of self-quarantine:  Happy July 4 everyone!  The only exciting thing we did today was the laundry.  Douglas called, but the call got disconnected right in the middle.  Steaks for dinner tonight.  Low 90s today.

Fri, Jul 3, 2020:  Day 105 of self-quarantine:  Warm and humid today.  Darwin and Mike couldn’t shoot today either.  They’ll try for next week.  Nomad and I played spades after lunch.  Didn’t win any games (sigh).  Left-over chicken for dinner tonight.
