Tue, Aug 4, 2020:  Day 137 of self-quarantine:  Had my doctor appointment this morning.  Stopped at Popeye’s on the way home for a couple of their chicken sandwiches for lunch.  Took a nap after lunch.  Can’t believe the weather.  Highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s for the next couple of days.

Mon, Aug 3, 2020:  Day 136 of self-quarantine:  Did the cleaning today so tomorrow would be free.  Have a doctor appt. which will last all morning.  So tomorrow I can come home and relax.  Played spades with Nomad in the afternoon.

Sun, Aug 2, 2020:  Day 135 of self-quarantine:  Can’t believe it’s August already.  Time has flown by—even in quarantine.  A really nice day today.  In the low 80s.  Great August weather.  Blew off the deck and wanted to sit outside and read, but the chaise is soaked from all the rain.  Watched the splash-down of the SpaceX flight.  Incredible!

Sat, Aug 1, 2020:  Day 134 of self-quarantine:  Pretty overcast with sprinkles today.  We weren’t going anywhere, so who cares?  Did the laundry, read my book, worked out, and watched TV.  Playing spades with Nomad after this.

Fri, Jul 31, 2020:  Day 133 of self-quarantine:  A rainy, gloomy day today.  Need one of those every so often.  Looks like we’re going to have them all week.  And the temps will be in the high 70s to low 80s.  Nice!  Laid around reading my book for a while and listened to the rain.  Pork chops, mashed potatoes, and a vegetable for dinner tonight.  Playing spades as soon as I post this.

Oregon Coast

Thu, Jul 30, 2020:  Day 132 of self-quarantine:  Took my car for my 3:00 appointment for safety and emissions inspection plus some other things.  They told me the state machine for inspections is down and won’t be back up until sometime next week.  Oh great!  So, back home we went.  I’m so late getting my car registered now, it doesn’t really matter.  Going to get burgers for dinner tonight.

Wed, Jul 29, 2020:  Day 131 of self-quarantine:  This day just flew by.  Maybe because I was on the phone for over an hour with Steve.  And then I ran some errands, did the vacuuming, washed the slider and then relaxed on the deck reading my book.  Mike went off to shoot skeet with Darwin.  Really humid today.  Started storming right after Mike got home from shooting.  Ordered pizza for dinner.  I’ve been watching a new series on Netflix—Wanted.”  Really good.  A cross between Thelma and Louise and No Country for Old Men.  90 today.
