Thu, Nov 12, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  A mixed bag today of clouds, rain, and wind.  Really windy.  But really warm.  Our next door neighbors, George and Pam, stopped over.  George asked if he needed a mask and we said yes please.  Another guy stopped by (asked him to wear a mask) and we were all discussing the recent Covid outbreak here in The Glades.  Not surprised.  They’ve continued to have game night, karaoke on Saturday, etc.  Also, Grumpy’s Grill is going to have a Thanksgiving dinner.  Nobody really wears a mask or keeps a distance from each other.  Guess they don’t think it’s a serious thing at all.  A bunch of people in here are quarantined right now.  Don’t really see it getting any better.

Wed, Nov 11, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  The tropical storm is still with us.  Some rain, but a lot of wind.  I worked my crossword out in the screen room this morning.  Then I decided to gather all the things I set aside for Goodwill and put them in the truck to take them to the Goodwill in LaBelle.  Mike went with me.  Also took back to Winn-Dixie the storage bags that ended up in our grocery cart somehow--$13 worth.  Stopped at Popeyes and picked up lunch to bring home.  After lunch I read for a while and then dragged out my keyboard, got it set up and played for a while.  Put it all back and now we’re getting ready to play spades.  I walked about a mile today.  Almost got caught in the rain.  But I probably could’ve gotten a ride back.  Low- to mid-80s out there.

Thanks to all our veterans out there...

Tue, Nov 10, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  We took care of the grocery shopping this morning.  Got back and were putting stuff away and there were three things that weren’t ours.  Two boxes of quart storage bags and one jumbo storage bag.  Put them in our storage compartment for the time being.  I’ll probably never use them.  Before lunch I started reading my new book “Beach House” by James Patterson.  Good so far.  After lunch we watched “It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” with Tom Hanks.  Good movie.   Mike is out there right now recharging the water softener.  Hope the wasps don’t get him!  Looks like it wants to rain out there, but hasn’t so far.  Mid-80s today.

Mon, Nov 9, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  The storm finally went through.  I went outside and picked up all the debris from the trees and piled it up for the maintenance guys.  Also drove up to the office and picked up our mail.  There were a couple of sandhill cranes out on the golf course.  They’re such pretty birds.  It’s really hot and steamy out there right now.

Sun, Nov 8, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  A couple of squalls came through during the night.  Pretty windy with lots of rain.  We put our awning away yesterday and put all our chairs away.  Supposed to get worse tonight and tomorrow.  During a lull in the rain, we got the laundry out of the way.  Just in time, because it really started pouring.  Mike is making dinner tonight (yay!).  I don’t have to do a thing (yay!).  Probably in the low 80s out there.

Sat, Nov 7, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Dish came out today to fix the reception in the bedroom TV.  Turns out the living room TV was coming off the dish on the roof of the fifth wheel, and the bedroom was coming off the residential dish they installed last year.  The residential dish had a burned out part and wasn’t secured in the ground very well.  Fixed that and we now have both TVs working.  Now a storm is coming through in the next day or so, so we’ll lose TV anyway (sigh).  All is good.  Maybe low 80s today, cloudy and breezy.

Fri, Nov 6, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Back to Clewiston to pick up another script.  Decided to stop by the Tiki Bar in Clewiston for lunch if it looked safe.  No one wearing masks--no wait staff, no customers.  We were able to keep a good distance away from others, but the wait staff should have been wearing masks.  So we left, picked up our script and headed home.  Took care of a few chores in the afternoon.  A lot of our neighbors still haven’t shown up yet.  85 here today and breezy.
