Sat, Oct 29, 2022:  St. Louis to Tupelo, MS:  A long drive today, but we left earlier than expected, so we arrived in Tupelo by 3:15.  Sprinkled off and on, but a decent day weather-wise.  We’ll do a couple of microwave meals for dinner.  Don’t feel like going out again.  Tomorrow we leave for Dothan, AL.

Mon, Oct 3, 2022:  St. Louis:  Went to the ballet yesterday for the first time in years.  The St. Louis Ballet presented two ballets—Within the Golden Hour, and Romantique.  The venue was the Touhill Performing Arts Center on the University of St. Louis campus.  We opted for the matinee, so we only dressed up a little.  Most people didn’t.  We had orchestra seats but next time we’ll get orchestra box seats.  Wore our masks.  Already got tickets for Swan Lake in April next year.  Going out to vote now and then have lunch.  We’ve had a week or so of absolutely beautiful weather.  Looking more and more like fall.

Thu, Mar 31, 2022:  Guin, AL, to St. Louis:  Well, we made it home in one piece.  It was sleeting while unloading the truck.  But it’s all done and we’re ensconced and warm.

Wed, Mar 30, 2022:  Dothan, AL, to Guin, AL:  Since there are some bad storms coming through this area, we left Dothan early and arrived at the Holiday Inn Express by noon.  And we were able to get a room right away.  Check-in isn’t until 3:00.  There is a full restaurant at this location, so we may go down for dinner tonight.  Bad weather should hit sometime tonight.  I’m just glad we got here before the onslaught.  Tomorrow should be clear sailing to St. Louis—at least as far as the weather is concerned.

Tue, Mar 29, 2022:  Ocala, FL, to Dothan, AL:  Well, we’re stuck in Ocala right now because of dense fog.  Hopefully we’ll be on the road in a couple of hours.  We gain an hour today anyway, since we’ll be on Central Time.  Yes!  There is severe weather where we’re headed.  We may be in Dothan for a couple of days also.  Mother Nature is a fickle bitch.

Mon, Mar 28, 2022:  The Glades RV Park to Ocala, FL:  Left this morning at 9:30 and stopped for lunch at 12:45 and we switched and Mike took over driving.  Instead of I75, we took Rt. 27 through central Florida.  It’s a four-lane, limited-access highway all the way.  I loved Lake Placid.  I could see living there.  Not too big.  After Rt. 27 we had a short stint on Florida Turnpike and then a shorter drive on I75.  We were in the Holiday Inn Ocala at 2:30.  Resting up before dinner.
