Fri, Nov 4, 2022:  The Glades RV Park:  I drove to Clewiston this morning and Mike stayed behind with the guy from Bobby’s RV Repair who was here to fix our hot water heater.  I got back around 11:30 and we headed to The Riverfront Grill (formerly Crumb’s) for lunch.  A beautiful day, albeit a little windy.  We put the umbrella out and a frog jumped down and landed on my left boob.  Decided it was too windy for the umbrella as it kept trying to blow away.  Had a great lunch and then back to our site and Mike set up the water softener.  Now we just have a little trimming to take care of and we’re done—for now anyway.  83 in here today.

A couple of nice boats went by as we were having lunch.

Wed, Nov 2, 2022:  The Glades RV Park:  This morning Frank was here early to wash the fifth wheel and the shed.  It looks really good.  I swept the patio and the pavers in the screen room.  Going to get more pavers for a walkway between the patio and the end of the screen room.  But first we have to get the water heater fixed.  Bobby’s RV Service is coming out tomorrow afternoon to hopefully take care of that.  We got the table and chairs set up in the screen room.  That’s all we did since Mike is not feeling too great.  One thing at a time.  87 here today.

Tue, Nov 1, 2022:  Ocala, FL, to The Glades:  We got going about 8:30 this morning.  We only had a short stint on I75 before we got on the Florida turnpike, but had a close call when a couple of exits up, the line to get off the highway was backed up on the right lane, bringing everything to a screeching halt.  I hate I75.  The less we’re on it the better.  We took Rt. 27 down through the center of Florida.  It’s a limited access highway with three lanes on each side.  Much less stressful.  Stopped at Lake Placid, got our groceries and continued on to The Glades.  Got here about 1:30.  Our new neighbors, Gary and Mary Beth stopped by to say hello.  We put everything away and then relaxed.  I got ready to take a shower and realized I hadn’t turned on the water heater.  The cold shower felt pretty good.  Tomorrow we’ll finish setting up the table and chairs in the screen room.  88 here in The Glades.

Mon, Oct 31, 2022:  Dothan, AL, to Ocala, FL:  We left Dothan at 8:20 this morning and were ensconced in our hotel room by 3:30.  We lost an hour today as we’re now on Eastern Time.  An uneventful drive with no rain.  85 here in Ocala.  Tomorrow we leave for The Glades.  We’ll stop in Lake Placid for groceries.

Sun, Oct 30, 2022:  Tupelo, MS, to Dothan, AL:  Another long driving day today.  And I didn’t get much sleep last night, so Mike had to do most of the driving.  We left Tupelo at 8:30 and arrived in Dothan by 3:30.  We drove through showers off and on.  At least it wasn’t a downpour.  72 here in Dothan.  Tomorrow we leave for Ocala, FL.

Sat, Oct 29, 2022:  St. Louis to Tupelo, MS:  A long drive today, but we left earlier than expected, so we arrived in Tupelo by 3:15.  Sprinkled off and on, but a decent day weather-wise.  We’ll do a couple of microwave meals for dinner.  Don’t feel like going out again.  Tomorrow we leave for Dothan, AL.

Mon, Oct 3, 2022:  St. Louis:  Went to the ballet yesterday for the first time in years.  The St. Louis Ballet presented two ballets—Within the Golden Hour, and Romantique.  The venue was the Touhill Performing Arts Center on the University of St. Louis campus.  We opted for the matinee, so we only dressed up a little.  Most people didn’t.  We had orchestra seats but next time we’ll get orchestra box seats.  Wore our masks.  Already got tickets for Swan Lake in April next year.  Going out to vote now and then have lunch.  We’ve had a week or so of absolutely beautiful weather.  Looking more and more like fall.
