Sugarloaf Key: Really chilly and windy today. And spitting rain from time to time. A good time to sit inside and watch all the inaugural activities. Went to a dinner at the clubhouse tonight. One of the guys in the park bought a whole pig and cooked it on a spit outside. Everyone brought a dish. We had a ton of food. I ate too much. Back home to watch the inaugural balls.

Sugarloaf Key:
Mike went over for donuts this morning and also signed us up for the dinner on Tuesday. I cleaned and vacuumed while he was gone. An iffy morning anyway. He played shoes in the afternoon and I went outside to read when the sky cleared. Didn’t stay out long though because it was chilly with the wind. We’re supposed to have the coldest weather in 6 years on Tuesday night and Wednesday. Time to go to a movie I guess. Went over to the KOA for happy hour at 5:00. Stayed much longer than usual. Good time.

Sugarloaf Key: Started out looking kinda sunny, but then clouded over. No wind at all which is very unusual. Glad it stayed cloudy because we planned on watching the NFC championship game between the Arizona Cardinals (formerly St. Louis Cardinals) with Kurt Warner, their awesome quarterback (former St. Louis Rams quarterback), and the Philadelphia Eagles. A fantastic game—all Cardinals in the first half and then the Eagles came back in the second half. But the Cardinals won, and Kurt Warner is going to his 3rd Superbowl. Can’t think of anyone who deserves it more. Way to go Kurt! I’m exhausted.

Sugarloaf Key: Really windy last night, but a beautiful, sunny day today. And cool—upper 60s. Went to Pizza Works for lunch and then came back and we had another party at the clubhouse with free food and beer and Howard Livingston and the MM24 band. After the band left, some guys in the campground got together and played. Two guitars and a banjo. Two Canadians and a Michigander. They were so good and we had a great time. Hated to see it end here on Key West time. Hope I don’t feel like crap tomorrow.

Sugarloaf Key: A cloudy, chilly, windy day today. Hardly went out at all Spent a lot of time on the computer and reading. Made chili for dinner. Tonight was movie night at the club house, so we walked over and saw “The Women”. Had already seen it, but was good enough to see again.

Sugarloaf Key:
Hung out inside just about all day. At 5:30 we headed to Kingstons Clam Bar and had dinner before going to the Tennessee Williams Theater to see Joan Rivers. A great show. She looks incredible and has so much energy. She must be in her mid- to upper-70s but she was on stage for an hour and a half constantly talking and walking. And she did it in 3 inch heels. After the show they had an incredible buffet. A guy we saw at the restaurant eating alone was at the theater also. He was in the “Producers Circle” bar which is exclusive for rich people only I guess. Lots of locals there. A fun night. Spitting rain when we came back. I think it only reached 69 today. Guess this is our winter.

Reading my book...

Sugarloaf Key: Cool but sunny today. We headed to Key West with the laundry in the afternoon and got that done. Then we went to see the Clint Eastwood movie, “Gran Torino”. Really good movie. But a Clint Eastwood movie is almost always good.
