Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Just relaxed all day today—mostly outside.  Planning on going to Marathon for dinner tonight.  Johanne and Charlie are joining us.  Then we’re going over to the KOA to enjoy Howard Livingston and the MM24 band.  Not planning on doing a lot of drinking, but we’ll see how that goes.  Just in case, I’m posting this early.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL: When we woke up this morning it was bright and sunny--but very quickly clouded up and remained cloudy all day, sprinkling off and on.  We stopped by Johanne and Charlie’s to see if they wanted to join us for dinner tomorrow night.  We’re planning on going to Marathon for an early dinner and then going over to the KOA where Howard Livingston and the MM24 band is playing.  Then we headed to Keys Gas in Big Pine to get our propane tank filled and then had lunch at Pizza Works.  Back home and watched the Syracuse/Kansas St. bowl game. What a great game!  Syracuse won by 2 points!  Final score 38/36.  73 today.  It’s finally warming up!

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Woke up this morning with a stomach ache.  Lasted most of the day.  Went to do the laundry and grocery shopping anyway.  No pizza though.  Couldn’t wait to get home and lay down.  It finally abated somewhat.  Got up in time for the news.  Debbie stopped over and showed us a picture of a yacht in Key West Harbor.  Owned by Paul Allen of Microsoft, it’s supposed to be one of the largest private yachts in the world.  The battleship-size yacht, Octopus, is 414 ft. long, has a helicopter on board, and a 10-person submarine, among other toys .They had to dock it where the cruise ships put in.  Talk about obscene wealth!   Upper 60s today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Cold this morning.  Hit a record low for Key West—47.  A nice, sunny day, but really chilly.  Only went out a couple of times.  Stayed inside and watched TV, played on the computer, and read.  Our attorney and his wife are in town this week.  They’ve invited us over to their place for drinks this evening.  My cold feels like it’s coming back.  Can’t seem to shake it.  Won’t stay long.  Besides, Missouri is in a bowl game tonight at 10:00.  You can bet that Mike will want to be back for that.  Upper 50s again today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Cloudy and spitting rain a little bit this morning. It cleared off nicely later but was still pretty chilly.  We ventured out around noon heading for a movie at Key West.  Went to see “The Tourist” with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.  We didn’t know what to expect because it was panned pretty badly by the critics, but it was pretty entertaining.  A lot of it was tongue-in-cheek like a lot of the James Bond movies, but all in all it was pretty good.  After that I went over to Keys Hair and got my hair washed and cut.  Then back home and signed up for the pot luck dinner tomorrow night and then realized it was happy hour at the KOA so we headed over there.  We were the only ones there from our park.  Got our drinks and were sitting at our table when Terry and Floyd showed up.  Finished our drinks and headed over to Boondocks for dinner.  Chuck and a friend showed up just as we were leaving.  Back home and bundled up for the evening.  Think the high was 59 today.  Brrrrr!

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Rained really hard last night.  Today was sunny at times but really cool and very windy.  Gale warnings for tonight.  I keep telling Mike maybe we should put the awning up.  No, he says.  It’s fine.  Okay then.  I figure he’ll be out there at 2:00 a.m. putting it away and freezing his butt off.  Stayed inside all day.  Watched a Clint Eastwood movie that we actually hadn’t seen before.  Think it hit the upper 60s today early but dropped into the 50s.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Merry Christmas!  A nice warm day today.  We had our Christmas dinner over at the clubhouse today.  Captain Bill deep fried 4 turkeys and Donna and Marty cooked up a ham.  Everyone brought a dish.  We had some really good food and desserts.  Our French Canadian friends brought a meat pie which is a specialty in their area.  That was really good!  No drinking or dancing today, since I danced my brains out and drank too much last night.

My candle burns at both ends, it will not last the night; But ah my foes and oh my friends, it gives a lovely light.
