Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Did the cleaning today.  Mike not feeling so great after the party on the point last night.  Something he ate didn’t agree with him.  He was miserable most of the day.  He didn’t even feel like playing shoes.  A beautiful day though.  Sat outside reading for a while.  Warm, breezy, and sunny.  80s today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Blustery this morning.  But, blustery and 80 degrees is hardly considered blustery.  Walked around the lake and then down Johnson Road.  Ran into Jerry on Johnson Road.  Mike picked me up and we headed to the Galley Grill for breakfast.  Mike had steak and eggs and I had scrambled eggs, bacon, and ciabata French toast.  Really good.  Picked up Mike’s prescription at Walgreens, stopped at a produce stand and then headed back home.  Sat outside reading for a while.  Party on the point tonight.  The park is providing the food and beer.  The Lazy Lakes Trailer Trash Band will be on stage.  Should be a fun night.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  While on the computer last night, I got a instant message from Esther to come over for coffee and Bailey’s.  So, over we went along with a bottle of wine.  Charlie, Johanne and Maple came over shortly after.  Others came and went during the evening.  We left around 1:00 a.m. and walked home.  Took a while to get to sleep, but we were up by 8:00.  Showered, dressed and sat outside for a while.  Then I decided to go for a walk.  Walked around the lake and then down Johnson Road and back.  There was a triathlon going on today, so there were a lot of bicyclists on Hwy. 1.  Wonder where they did the swimming part?  Gerald biked over around lunch time and said that some of the others didn’t leave until 2:00.  So, we were all laying low today.  Gerald said he had gone out for a bike ride down Hwy. 1 and then Blimp Road and back.  The support staff for the triathlon thought he was one of the participants and were giving him water and some sliced fruit.  Pretty funny. Made spaghetti for dinner and had chocolate cream pie for dessert.  Another nice, warm, breezy day.  I noticed when I walked around the lake that it’s very clean.  Gerald’s son-in-law who was visiting last week snorkeled the whole lake and said it’s very clean and clear.  And also that there’s a lot of really big fish in there. Maybe one of these days I’ll try it.  Or maybe not.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Got up this morning around 8:00 and waited for Mike to get up so I could take my shower. Used the time to take care of some computer maintenance and set up new files for 2013.  Sat outside reading my book and watched a couple of jets way, way up in the ether, just tiny specs, trailing long contrails behind them.  Wonder where they were going?  South America maybe?  Around 2:00 we drove into Key West to see “Chasing Ice” at the Tropic—a documentary about the loss of the world’s glaciers.  Beautiful photography.  There were two cruise ships in, so a lot of people around.  Besides all the bicyclists, scooters, cars, and walking drunks, now they have those humongous “ducks”—amphibious trucks of a sort that splash in the water at the end of the tour.  These things are huge though.  I wouldn’t want to have to navigate one of them through the narrow Old Town streets.  The movie was good, but this guy took a seat two over from mine who ate his popcorn with gusto, smacking his lips loudly and the rest of the time picking his teeth with equal gusto.  Making other gross noises as well.  We finally moved.  No wonder he was by himself.  Probably never has a date, or many friends for that matter.  85 today!

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Pretty windy today.  I wasn’t feeling too swift so just hung around all day.  Mike picked up our Netflix from the office, so I guess we’ll watch that tonight.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another perfect day today.  I headed to Big Pine to get my hair trimmed.  Such a fantastic day, so we headed to Louie’s Backyard and had a couple of drinks on the afterdeck.  The Atlantic side was roiling—the bay side was calm.  People were out there surfing, people with their dogs playing in the surf, and we sat at the bar watching it all.  Left there and had lunch at the Stoned Crab.  The play last night was outstanding.  What creative minds went into this production—the sets, the script, and the incredible actors.  The production won several Tony awards, and we could see why.  It was hilarious.  It was still 81 when we left the theater at 10:15 or so.  So we strolled Duval for a while until Mike’s back said “enough”.  Back home and crashed.  85 today with a beautiful tropical breeze.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another perfect day today.  It was already 82 at 9:30.  Did the laundry and grocery shopping today.  After lunch I sat outside reading and watching the iguanas which are still hanging around.  Gerald stopped by.  We’re all going to the Waterfront Theater tonight to see the play “39 Steps”—a comedy about the Hitchcock movie of the same name. Us and the Canadians.  Hope it’s good.
