Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another beautiful, warm and sultry day today.  I made an appointment for1:00  in Key West to get my hair cut.  After some lunch, I told Mike I was going to walk around the lake and then down Johnson Road and to pick me up at the end of Johnson Road and we could head to Key West.  I took longer than planned because I ran into people here and there, and when I turned the corner by the clubhouse Mike was just pulling away and down Johnson Road.  He was probably wondering where the hell I was.  I finally caught up with him after he got to the end of Johnson Road and turned around and we headed out.  Got a great hair cut.  Mike picked up something at Publix for the Nascar party here at the park tomorrow and we headed back.  He dropped me at the end of Johnson Road and I walked back.  Stopped at the clubhouse and the guys were just finishing up putting pavers in.  They did a great job.  Back home and watched our Netflix movie, “Gone” which was a pretty good movie.  Tried to sit outside after that, but the no-see-ums were out in force. Mid-80s again today and beautiful.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Warm and sultry today.  Perfect day to head to the beach.  But at noon we came in to have some lunch and the men’s hockey game was on between US and Canada and we got watching that so that nixed the beach.  And the US lost (sigh).  Canadians play for the gold on Saturday.  Went to Mangrove Mama’s for a light dinner.  Mid-80s again today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  More humid today and it felt great.  We left around 11:30 to go for a bike ride and check out the new bike paths.  Biked out of the park, down Johnson Road and over the Bow Channel bridge, but when we got to the spot where the path crosses Hwy 1 and continues on the other side of the road, it was closed off.  So, we rode around a couple of really nice residential areas and explored around a little.  We had planned on having lunch at a little deli on the path, but that was out, so we biked back home.  Relaxed and cooled off for a while and then made some lunch.  Turned on the TV and the women’s gold medal hockey game was on between Canada and the US.  The US was ahead 2-0 through the second period.  But then the Canadians came back and scored 2 goals to tie it up.  The Canadians won in overtime.  Mike is not in a very good mood now. Mid-80s again today and beautiful.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another perfect day today.  I walked around the lake and ran into Wes walking Mutley.  He told me about a lobster he saw in the lake.  Took me over to where he saw it, but it was gone.  There are now two sharks in there. I have yet to see them. Ran into a gal walking her three dogs and they and Mutley got into a little rumble.  More bark than bite. Continued around the lake and then down Johnson Road and back picking up trash.  Ran into Char and Jerry who are both sick with colds.  A bunch of people have colds in here. Got back and made myself comfortable in my chaise lounge and started a new book.  Spent the afternoon reading and watching the palms sway gracefully in the tropical breezes.  In the evening we went to Key West and had dinner at Pepe’s.  Mike had raw oysters (ugh) and pork chops and I had parmesan encrusted snapper over pasta in a marinara sauce.  Really good.  Mid-80s today.

NAS was busy today with training flights.  This guy was coming in low and slow.  Always fun to watch.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  A nice day today.  We headed to Key West to do the laundry and grocery shopping.  After the laundry was in the dryer, we headed around the corner to the Publix market.  Unfortunately, I forgot the list, but we managed to get everything on it.  What a memory!  Then back to the laundry and folded everything.  Had a nice relaxing lunch at The Stoned Crab.  I had a great salad with crab claws and shrimp and Mike had peel and eat shrimp and crab/shrimp bisque soup. Back home and put everything away.  Sat around and relaxed the rest of the day.  Went for a walk earlier and ran into Jan walking his two cute dogs.  Mid-80s today.  The waters around the Keys are especially pretty today.  Love driving around here—it’s so pretty.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Our usual Monday.  I did the cleaning. Mike went for donuts in the morning and then shoes in the afternoon.  A beautiful day, but too chilly for me—in shorts anyway.  And the birds have been so loud—between the red-winged blackbirds and the doves, it’s been a cacophony of noises here today.  Over for happy hour tonight.  I’m ready for a drink.  Mid-70s today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  An absolutely beautiful day today.  A deep blue sky totally devoid of clouds.  Still a little chilly—for me anyway.  We watched our Netflix movie, “Boys From Brazil” which we hadn’t seen in several years.  After that we donned our biking gear and took the bikes out.  Biked down the road past the KOA and then down the unpaved road to the burnt out bridge.  Well, only a little way since there were several large ruts filled with water from our recent rain storm.  Started back and stopped at the KOA for a cocktail.  Back home and read for a while.  Steaks, sautéed potatoes with onion and red pepper, and southwest corn for dinner.  Really good!  Upper 70s today I guess.  I wore a jacket while biking and was glad I did.

There is a beautiful home at the end of the paved road and just before the unpaved road to the burnt out bridge.  Supposedly, a well known female tennis star used to own it.  Not sure who does now.  A beautiful home right on the Atlantic.
