Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Went over this morning bright and early to get Mutley—only to be confronted with yet another mess.  He tore up his food plate and had bits of food and paper plate strewn all over.  He ripped the fire extinguisher off the wall and even pulled out the pin!  Lucky he didn’t have that sprayed all over.  He also pooped and peed—even though we walked him 5 times yesterday.  Went and got Mike to help me clean everything up.  I even ran the vacuum cleaner.  After cleaning up, I walked him and figured I wouldn’t need a poop bag.  And, of course, he pooped.  So, had to go back and get a bag and then figure out where he pooped so I could clean it up.  We had a bunch of errands to run, so we took Mutley with us.  He’s such a good dog.  We even took him out to breakfast with us and he sat under our table and didn’t make a peep.  Left him in the truck once while we were at Walgreens and he didn’t even bark.  He’s so good.  He just doesn’t like to be left alone at night.  I gave him a bath when we got back and he spent the rest of the day at our site.  They’re not going to be home until around midnight.  So we took him back at around 7:30.  Put all his food and other stuff on the counter.  Hope he’ll be okay.  We left a light on for him and the radio.  Keeping our fingers crossed. That was our day.  Chilly today.

Mutley all bundled up after his bath.  Looking so sad.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Up this morning first thing and walked Mutley.  Came back and took him back home and then we started washing the walls and ceiling.  Got that mostly done and we could hear Mutley barking, so we went over and brought him over to our site while we finished up.  Walked him 3 more times.  I’m pooped.  He trots along pretty fast.  We’re going to see the New York City Ballet tonight at the Tennessee Williams Theater.  Should be really good.  We’ll have dinner somewhere before.  It’s still really windy today.  Probably in the low 70s.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  This morning I got up at 8:00 and heard Mutley barking and howling.  So, I just brushed my teeth, dressed, and headed over to pick him up.  He was at the front door all excited to see me.  Took him for a walk, came back and took him back home, but he started barking and howling, so I went back and brought him over to our site after taking him for another walk.  He stayed at our site most of the day.  He’s still so unhappy.  Took him for two more walks and then we took him back home and then headed for the clubhouse and the wine tasting.  A severe weather front was coming through, so we put our awning up.  The sky turned black and threatening and the wind picked up. Waited for a while and then made a dash for it  to the clubhouse.  We were able to get the wine tasting in, but not without a lot of wetness.  After the wine tasting we waited for a lull in the storm and then made a dash for it.  The roads are all under water and we got pretty wet with the blowing rain.  Going back for movie night tonight.  They’re showing “Dallas Buyers Club” tonight.  Mutley is out of luck for another walk tonight.  Was really warm and humid before the front came through.  Now it’s pretty chilly—well 70 degrees.  Not that chilly for our northern friends.

Sky got really ugly as we headed over to the clubhouse.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  We’re taking care of our neighbor’s dog while they’re gone for the next three days.  So, first thing I went over and got him and took him for a long walk.  He’s not a happy guy.  They’ve never left him before and he doesn’t know what is going on.  Walked him again before we headed to Key West.  I had to pick up a printer cartridge for our printer and we ran into Fiona and Walter in the Publix parking lot.  Talked with them for a while and then headed to Hard Rock CafĂ© for dinner.  I had salmon and Mike had a steak.  Great meal. Walked back to the Eco Center where we parked and then headed home.  Got home just as Debbie and Craig were coming back from the Wednesday night dinner at the clubhouse.  Talked with them for a while and then went over and got Mutley and walked him again.  He was glad to see us.  Poor guy doesn’t know what is going on.  It was still 80 driving back at 7:30.  Mid-80s again today.

Poor Mutley--he is so not happy.

Cocktails before dinner--a Mohito for me and a Bloody Mary for Mike.

There was some ceremony going on aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Ingram.  Not sure what it was all about.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  It was 81 already when we headed to KOA to do the laundry at 9:30 this morning.  Lots of spring breakers at the KOA, and probably all over Key West.  Got the laundry done and then did our grocery shopping.  After that we had pizza one last time at Pizza Works.  Only a few days left for us (sigh).  Came back and put everything away.  A lot of people are going over to the KOA tonight for a Mardi Gras party.  The band, Haywire, is playing.  Doubt that we’ll go.  Neither one of us is up for a huge crowd of revelers.  Of course Carmen is going.  She’s all decked out in a cute little outfit with lots of beads, and even a tiara.  She goes out all the time and dances every dance.  At 95!  Mid-80s today and beautiful.

Ran into this threatening guy wandering around the KOA grounds.  What a crab!

Go ahead!  Try and pick me up!

I dare you!

Getting ready to enjoy our last pizza slices at Pizza Works.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL: A gorgeous day today.  I ran some errands this morning, and driving up the Keys it was so beautiful—the waters surrounding the Keys beautiful in shades of blues and greens.  Never tire of the turquoise waters down here.  After shoes we head to the KOA for happy hour and then Boondocks for dinner.  Mid-80s today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another nice day today.  While waiting for Mike to get up I started defrosting the freezer.  Put it off long enough.  Started the cleaning.  Karen stopped by for a while.  Carmen came over while she was here.  After taking care of a couple of other chores we relaxed the rest of the day.  Having dinner tonight with Jo and Ray who live here full time. We talked about getting together for several years now, and we’re finally doing it.  Low 80s today.

Beautiful orchids.

Some of the little cottages in Old Town Key West have these little dipping pools out back.  This is one of them.
