Sat, Jan 14, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Slept in late today and then just lazed around all day.  In the afternoon we ventured out to walk around the lake and Dale, Carolyn and Char were out drinking wine.  So on our way ba.ck we stopped and imbibed.  Ended up inviting Dale and Carolyn over for dinner.  They came over with some pasta and we had our pasta and some salad.  We all partook of way too much food, but a good dinner as it turned out.  We were all three sheets to the wind, but that’s okay.  A nice day.  Sunny and breezy.  Upper 70s.

Fri, Jan 13, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  After a rough night last night I believe I’m feeling a little better.  Mike not so much.  Spent the day napping and reading.  Dale and Carolyn came over in the afternoon with a bottle of wine and we sat outside for a while with them.  I had only one glass.  Thought we’d feel better after getting outside for a while.  Not really.  Upper 70s today, sunny and windy.

Thu, Jan 12, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Well, whatever malady Mike has, I now have.  Felt miserable all last night and all day today.  Just laid around and read all day.  Finished the tome “Hamilton” and now started another tome, “New York”.  A nice, sunny day, but windy still.  Only went out once—to get the paper.  Haven’t stuck my head out since.  Mike, fearing the onset of ennui, wanted to know if I wanted to go out to dinner tonight.  Told him there’s no way I feel good enough to eat out.  That left no doubt in his mind that I’m truly a hot mess!  Tomorrow hopefully we’ll both feel better.

Wed, Jan 11, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Decided not to go to the dinner at the park tonight because I didn’t think Mike was feeling all that great still.  But he seems to be way better.  A nice day today, but chilly.  We need to get out.  Cabin fever is setting in.  I didn’t even go for a walk today.  Tomorrow is another day.  Left-overs for dinner.  Mid-70s today.

Tue, Jan 10, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Cool, but nice and sunny today.  Mike feeling a little better.  We went grocery shopping and then had lunch at the little bagel/sandwich shop in Big Pine.  Back home, and after putting all the groceries away, I tried sitting outside reading, but it was too chilly for me.  Back inside.  I’m almost finished with the Hamilton tome. Left-over chicken piccata for dinner tonight.  73 today.  Clouded up in the afternoon and got much windier.  Okay!  Enough!

Mon, Jan 9, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Cool and windy again today.  Slept in late again.  I got up, had some breakfast and went over to do the laundry here in the park.  On the way I met Dale who was looking for Mike to play shoes.  Told him he was not feeling well.  You know Mike is not feeling well when he doesn’t want to play shoes.  Had to wait for a machine, so the laundry took longer than usual.  Plus, someone (who will remain anonymous) left a tissue in his pocket and left all the darks with lint everywhere.  Had to rewash most of the darks.  Not going over for Happy Hour or dinner tonight.  Decided to make chicken piccata for dinner tonight which turned out pretty good. 60s today, windy and sunny.

Sun, Jan 8, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Really windy all night last night.  Great sleeping though.  But woke up to stuff blown all over the place in our site.  Picked up the stuff and put two of the chairs under the slide for now.  After breakfast I bundled up and took the trash over to the dumpster and just kept going around the lake.  The wind was incredible.  Came back and just hunkered down inside.  Mike not feeling too good.  After lunch we watched more episodes of “House of Cards”.  What a great series.  It’s supposed to be a little warmer tomorrow.  But if the wind keeps up it won’t make much of a difference.  Mid-60s today.  Wonder what the wind chill was?
