Sun, Feb 19, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Really warm today.  I had trouble sleeping last night, and as a result I didn’t even get up until 10:00.  A quick breakfast and then we took care of our chores.  Mike emptying the tanks and washing them out and me doing the cleaning.  Had some lunch after that and then we biked over to the KOA.  I received a cryptic phone message from Douglas yesterday—something about the KOA, 3:00, lasagna, Care Camp, and marbles.  Thought he might be cutting hair again for the charity Care Camp.  But no Douglas in sight.  Hung around until a little after 3:00 and then biked back.  When we got back to our site, Mike almost took another tumble when getting off his bike.  You would think he’d be more careful, wouldn’t you?  Anyway, sat outside reading for a couple of hours enjoying this warm and sultry day.  Mid- to upper-80s today.

This guy stopped by for a visit while we were outside reading.  Some people down here kill them because they supposedly eat their flowers. How ignorant!

Sat, Feb 18, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  A pretty uneventful day today.  Nice day though.  Mike took a little ride on his bike to see how it would feel.  Said he was fine.  Read outside for a few hours enjoying this nice warm day.  That’s about it.  A nice relaxing day.  Pasta for dinner.  Low 80s today.

Fri, Feb 17, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Cool this morning but warmed up nicely.  We made a Walgreens run, then lunch at Boondocks followed by miniature golf at Boondocks.  Back home and putzed around for a while.  Larry stopped over with some soup he made.  Had it for dinner and it was really good.  Walked across the street to Dale and Carolyn’s site where they’re entertaining visitors.  Chatted with them for a while until the no-see-ums drove us inside.  Low 80s today with low humidity which made it seem cooler.

On valentine's day there was a flash mob type of "kiss-in" around the sculpture of this famous kiss.  There were hundreds of couples--some in navy and nurse costumes--dipping and kissing.  Pretty cool.

Thu, Feb 16, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  First thing this morning we stripped the bed and put the new mattress topper on.  There are two inches of memory foam, topped by two inches of this, like Eiderdown or something.  The bed is harder to lift up, but not bad.  And everything fits perfectly.  On top of the topper we put the mattress protector and then the sheets.  Should be extremely comfortable.  Can’t wait to try it tonight.  The day started out cloudy and threatening rain, but cleared off nicely.  We watched three more episodes of “Homeland.”  Another great series.  Upper 70s today.

This picture was on the front page of the Paradise section of this morning's paper.  This privately owned island is about 12 miles west of Key West.  Wonder what that dock cost?  Owned by some developer.

Wed, Feb 15, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Slept in a little late this morning.  Another beautiful day.  I ordered a mattress topper for our bed in the RV and it came this afternoon.  So, we dragged it back to our site and it’s now all spread out in the living area so it can breathe or something.  Tomorrow we’ll strip the bed and set it up. It weighs 20 pounds.  Hope we’re still able to access the under-bed storage area okay.  Tonight we had dinner at the clubhouse.  Mexican was the theme.  I made a potato casserole which came out pretty good.  We went over early to help Char and Jerry set up and then helped them clean up after.  No marbles tonight.  Too tired.  Think they have a table of 10 players.  Low 80s today.  Started getting a little stormy as we walked over to the dinner.  So, Mike put the awnings in and stowed the chairs.  So far, just a few sprinkles and some wind.

A nice moon rise last night.  After our marbles tournament a bunch of us congregated at our site for more wine and conversation.

Tue, Feb 14, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Off to Big Pine this morning—Mike to do the grocery shopping while I get my nails done.  This works out great.  Mike can stroll around the grocery store at his leisure and buy whatever he wants and I can get my nails done which usually takes about an hour.  After shopping we went to Boondocks for some lunch.  After getting back home and putting things away we relaxed until it was time to go over to the clubhouse for a Marbles tournament.  Really?  A Marbles tournament?  That’s what I said, but I’ll try anything once.  20 of us.  Ordering pizzas for dinner at some point. Low 80s again and perfect.

Mon, Feb 13, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Got the laundry done before lunch, and then after lunch Mike went over to play shoes for the first time since he banged up his ribs.  I enjoyed a few hours of solitude.  Not sure if we’ll go to happy hour or not.  If nothing else, I do enjoy the walk over there.  Another perfect day in the low 80s.
