Sat, Jan 6, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  The last few days have been really cold.  Thursday it never got out of the 50s!  Friday and today still cold but really sunny—not a cloud in the sky.  I’d almost rather it be raining.  Even though it’s a pretty day today, you don’t want to spend much time outside because of the wind.  We’ve been staying warm, reading, and watching TV.  Watched the first disk of season 7 of “Shameless.”  I made a big batch of chili which we’ll be eating for a while.  Somewhere in the 60s today.  It is supposed to warm up soon, when we will all emerge from our caves and start playing again.

Red Mountain Pass, Colorado.  We went over this pass (3 times) back in 2006.  There are no guardrails, the road keeps eroding away, 1000 ft. drops and it scared the crap out of me!

Wed, Jan 3, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  A cold, rainy, and blustery day today.  We stayed in with the fireplace going reading and dozing.  Off to dinner at the clubhouse shortly.  My potato casserole is ready for the oven and the rain has stopped (for now), but it’s still really windy.  We’ll be dressing warm.  Somewhere in the 60s today. It’s not supposed to get out of the 60s for the next three days.

Tue, Jan 2, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  What a dismal day!  I didn’t even get up until 11:00!  Got ourselves together and headed to Big Pine to do the grocery shopping.  Ran into Richard at Winn Dixie and Char, Jerry and Ben as they were heading to the laundromat.  After shopping we had lunch at the bagel shop and then back home.  Larry stopped by with some fish.  Last night a few of us went to the clubhouse to play jokers.  Trudged over in the wind and cold and trudged back in the wind, rain and cold.  Mike stayed home and watched football.  Tomorrow is dinner at the clubhouse.  Carolyn is making meatloaf.  I’m taking a potato casserole.  Weather is going to be crappy for a few more days.  Upper 60s today.

Mon, Jan 1, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Back much better today.  Didn’t go out last night.  It was cold and I didn’t feel that great.  Actually made it to the ball drop and a few hours later.  Today we took the bikes out for a ride.  Went over to the KOA and then down the road to the burned out bridge.  Biked over to the fishing bridge and then back home.  Ran into Char and Jerry walking Rudy. Jim and Karen finally made it here and stopped by.  A really nice day today.  Lower 80s I think.  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Fri, Dec 29, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:    Up late last night and tired all day.  Cool and breezy today.  Didn’t even walk around the lake.  A lot of people in here for the weekend.  A bunch of tenters on the other side of the lake.  Debbie sent over a loaf of her delicious banana bread.  Invited Char and Jerry over in the afternoon for wine and snacks.  Around 6:00 they headed home and we went inside.  Really chilly.  Upper 70s today I guess.

Thu, Dec 28, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  A quiet day today.  Nice one too—sunny and breezy.  Cool in the shade though.  Dragged my chaise into the sun to read my book.  Went to Boondocks for lunch.  Picked up our Netflix movie, “Baby Driver,” which we watched in the afternoon.  Not a great movie, but entertaining I guess.  81 today.

Wed, Dec 27, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Drove into Key West this morning and bought a DVD player because our blue ray player won’t play a DVD.  Apparently when they changed out our TV they didn’t hook up the blue ray player correctly.  Anyway, got that set up and walked around the lake.  Larry stopped over for a while.  I’m having my left-over meatloaf for dinner tonight.  82 here today.  It rained last night.  We need the rain to get rid of some of the dust on the road in here.
