Tue, Nov 19, 2019:  The Glades, Moore Haven, FL:  Did the laundry this morning early.  Mike was still in bed.  After I got everything in the washers, I came back and Mike was just getting up.  He came back with me and helped me fold.  While I was waiting for the laundry I walked over to the library and got another book—“Tough Guys Don’t Dance” by Norman Mailer.  Really good so far.  Next to the library is what used to be the Clubhouse.  It’s now going to be an Italian restaurant—Grumpy’s Pizza.  They will serve pizza and other Italian dishes.  Looking forward to that!  Had lunch on the deck at Crumb’s.  Nice day for it.  The Canadians are coming over for happy hour this afternoon at 4:30.  Should be fun.  Upper 70s today.

Mon, Nov 18, 2019:  The Glades, Moore Haven, FL:  Off to Clewiston this morning.  I had a dermatology appointment and then we did the grocery shopping and made a drug run.  Had lunch at Beef O’Brady’s and then back home.  We didn’t get back until 2:30.  Warmed up nicely today.  Walked over to visit with the Canadians.  Talked with Esther and Johanne, but Charlie and Gerald were busy building the deck at Esther and Gerald’s site.  They’re making progress.  Started chilling down around 4:30, so we headed back.  Upper 70s today.

Sun, Nov 17, 2019:  The Glades, Moore Haven, FL:  A grey and cool day today.  I don’t think it ever got out of the 50s.  And our furnace still doesn’t work.  Thought it was fixed yesterday, but not to be.  At least we have the fireplace and a little ceramic heater for the bathroom.  Drove into N. Ft. Myers and saw “Harriet.”  She was something else.  A little bit of a thing—4’9” I think.  She ran away herself when she heard she was going to be sold.  And she made it—all by herself.  Then she went back to free more—again, by herself.  She freed 70 by herself and then led a Union contingent and freed 700+.  She lived to the ripe old age of 91.  Upper 50s today.

Sat, Nov 16, 2019:  The Glades, Moore Haven, FL:  The gas guy came and filled up our propane tank.  And Craig, one of the workers in here, came and fixed our furnace.  I’m so glad because it’s supposed to get pretty cool in the evenings.  Don’t need it at night, but it’s sure nice to have it in the morning when you take showers.  After Craig left, Mike watched football and I watched a movie in the bedroom.  Tried to sit out and read, but too chilly with the wind.

Thu, Nov 14, 2019:  The Glades, Moore Haven, FL:  Went shed shopping today.  Still not sure we’re going to get one, but wanted to see what they had.  Found one we like.  But we’ll see.   It has threatened rain all day today.  Supposed to start tonight and go into tomorrow.  We’re checking out movie theaters for tomorrow.  82 today.

Wed, Nov 13, 2019:  The Glades, Moore Haven, FL:  Drove into Ft. Myers today for my doctor appointment.  My appointment was at 1:00 but I had to be there by 12:30.  We didn’t get out of there until 2:30.  She was very thorough.  No wonder she’s in great demand.  I was lucky to even get an appointment.  Had a late lunch at Chili’s and back home.  Rained during the night and was cloudy all day today.  But in the low to upper 70s.  The chairs we ordered were delivered while we were gone.

Tue, Nov 12, 2019:  The Glades, Moore Haven, FL:  Did the laundry first thing this morning.  While the clothes were in the dryer we walked over to the library and I got a book.  Back home and put everything away and drove into Clewiston to run some errands.  Stopped at Crumbs for lunch and then back to our site.  We’re trying to decide whether or not to get a screen room, table and chairs, and then a shed to store it all in.  We’re going to look at sheds tomorrow after my doctor appointment.  Upper 80s in here today.  Really pleasant.
