Wed, Apr 1, 2020:  Day 10 of self-quarantine:  Down into the 30s last night.  Got on the computer first thing and ordered some prescriptions. One had to be transferred from Clewiston, FL.  Now we have two grocery deliveries and one prescription delivery coming.  I checked my Chase statement.  Couldn’t believe it was correct, since it was for $300+. My Chase bill is always over $1000.  See what happens when you don’t go out to eat, movies, plays, eat more, etc.  Mike opted to pick up his scripts at Walgreens. He was told that if he called ahead he could also order stuff from the store and it would be ready when he picked up his scripts.  While he was out he also picked up a couple of burgers at Burger King.  I’m not real comfortable with that.  But we sanitized everything (I hope).  Pasta tonight for dinner.  Poured myself a glass of wine and ready to play spades with my partner, Nomad.  60 today.

Tue, Mar 31, 2020:  Day 9 of self-quarantine:  While waiting for Mike’s telemed call this morning we placed another grocery order.  I paid Instacart $99 for a year’s worth of grocery deliveries.  I also placed an order on Amazon for Clorox wipes.  They’ll be delivered in mid-May sometime.  When Mike was going through his credit cards, he found an old gift card (actually a refund for ammo or something) with $25 on it which expires today.  So, we went out and put gas in the truck.  Getting ready to play spades on line.  Will order a pizza tonight for dinner.   60 today.

Mon, Mar 30, 2020:  Day 8 of self-quarantine:  Nice day today.  Not really warm, but sunny and nice.   I prepped my feet for a pedi, and Mike painted my toes.  He did a good job.  Watched a series on Netflix with Michael Douglas and other A-listers.  Pretty good.  I poured myself a glass of wine and went downstairs to the office to see if Mike wanted to play spades.  He was in a snit because the RA doctor’s office refused his refill for Tramadol.  What a CF!  They said he owes the office $1.63 and can’t do anything until he pays that.  Do they realize we’ve been cooped up here for 8 days and could blow at any minute?!!  They’re doing a tele-appointment tomorrow morning.  Should be interesting.   In the 60s today.  Left-over chili for dinner tonight.

Sun, Mar 29, 2020:  Day 7 of self-quarantine:  Really windy today.  And only in the 60s. Needed some exercise, so I dusted off one of my exercise DVDs and worked out for a while.  Mike heard from a friend that Showtime was offering free service for a month.  So, watched a couple of movies. I made chili for dinner last night, so we had left-overs of that tonight as well.  Going to get cold tonight. Down into the 40s.

Sat, Mar 28, 2020:  Day 6 of self-quarantine:  I started getting texts from our “grocery shopper” at 9:00 am.  Said he/she was starting shopping.  He/she would text me every time they substituted an item for something else.  And no Lysol wipes, so they took that off the total.  It was delivered at 10:00 am.  The bags were left on our stoop in the courtyard  Even though I ordered a couple bottles of wine, they never asked for an id.  Maybe because of the walker sitting outside (kidding).  We brought everything in and put on the kitchen table and started washing everything.  Not thinking, I ordered a bowl of mixed melon.  Put in the microwave on high for 3 minutes which should be enough to take care of any contamination.  I wouldn’t think if you ingested the virus it would be a problem.  Anyway, just to be safe.  When I checked my credit card, the total was $185 instead of $160.  I thought the $160 included a large tip.  But maybe not.  Whatever it costs, it’s worth it.  Hope we did a good enough job of cleaning everything.  The only incorrect item we got was a pack of AAA batteries instead of AA.  Cloudy right now.  We’re supposed to get severe weather this afternoon (sigh).  I need a nap.

Fri, Mar 27, 2020:  Day 5 of self-quarantine:  We had a brief storm during the night last night.  Glad it was brief because we had very large hail.  At least it sounded large when it hit the roof.  Didn’t get up to look.  We just had a new roof put on, so at least there was no damage.  Cleaned the bathroom and opened the rest of our mail.  Binge watched “The Crown.”  That’s about all the excitement today.  Oh, and yesterday I decided to trim my hair since I won’t get to a salon any time soon.  I only trimmed the top and front.  Can’t do the sides and back.  What a mess I may be when I am able to get to a salon.  Low 70s today.

Thu, Mar 26, 2020:  Day 4 of self-quarantine:  A dreary start to the day but the afternoon was beautiful.  Sunny and warm.  I ended up walking down to the mailbox and back.  Felt different.  Florida is flat.  Walking here is a little more challenging because of the hills.  When we went through the mail yesterday we got a beautiful Christmas card from our friends at Lazy Lakes RV Resort, where we’ve spent the last 14 winters.  Everyone signed it.  Really nice.  76 today but rain is on the way.
