2020: Day 20 of self-quarantine:
Cold again today. But beautiful
and sunny. A couple of days ago it hit a
record of 90. Now we have freeze
warnings. Ventured out to CVS to pick up
my prescription. A lot of people out and
about. Guess they’re not worried about any silly old pandemic. On the way back home, I stopped to take a
picture of some red bud trees in bloom.
Such a pretty day. Low 50s today.

2020: Day 17 of self-quarantine:
Another beautiful day today. We
donned our masks and took the car out to get air in the tires. Then took a drive down the beautiful Great
River Road to Grafton. All the red buds
are in bloom. Really pretty. Came back, hung out and had some lunch. 87 today.
Storms tonight. Steaks, mashed
potatoes and a vegetable for dinner tonight.

2020: Day 16 of self-quarantine:
A beautiful day today! I called
to get someone over here to get my car started.
While we were waiting for him to show up, we went outside and started
cleaning up the leaves in both courtyards.
He showed up and my car is finally back.
Let it idle for an hour and finished up the leaf removal. Our garage door opener is not working. So, while waiting for a repair guy to show up
we played spades for a while. He won’t
be here until about 7. 87 today, but a cold
front is looming.

2020: Day 14 of self-quarantine:
A dreary and cold day today.
First thing this morning I get a text saying …”great news—you’re getting
a delivery this afternoon,” or something like that. I thought—would that be from Schnucks grocery,
Walgreens, or Aldi grocery? Then later I
started getting texts from our Schnucks shopper. They were delivered by 10:00 and we proceeded
to sanitize everything and put away. So,
we now have groceries. Have more coming. Still wonder what the afternoon delivery will
be. Maybe Walgreens. Anyway, down to the office and playing spades
with my partner, Nomad. 50s today.

2020: Day 13 of self-quarantine:
A dismal day today. Drizzle and
low 50s. Got up early. We did the laundry. I mopped the floors. Then, since I was out of cookies, I baked a
chocolate cake—with chocolate frosting.
Mike grilled hot dogs for lunch. I and my partner, Nomad, played spades
for a while in the afternoon. Left-over
pasta again for dinner. Chocolate cake for dessert.
