Thu, May 14, 2020:  Day 54 of self-quarantine:  Rained this morning and we discovered the roof is still leaking.  Called the roofer and they installed a diversion or something.  We’ll see if that works.  Gotta call our painter and see if he can paint the deck in the next week or so.  Watched some things we had recorded and that’s about it. Left-over pasta for dinner. Mike concocted something with his cheesy grits. He loves his cheesy grits. 70s today.  Nice!

Wed, May 13, 2020:  Day 53 of self-quarantine:  Received my Iphone protector thingy today which took forever to get here.  I like it.  And Mike’s new slippers arrived so he can discard the unbelievably shabby things he was wearing.  Almost as bad as the ones he was schlepping around in last winter.  Our groceries arrived.  They do such a good job. It's exhausting having to sanitize everything.  And we ordered sandwiches from 54th Street Grill (prime rib au jus) which were delicious.  No dinner tonight.  Low 60s today, but 70s the rest of the week.

Discovery Cove where we swam with the dolphins.

Tropical River at Discovery Cove.  Water temp 85.  Water temp on the reef was 72.

Tue, May 12, 2020:  Day 52 of self-quarantine:  Submitted two grocery orders this morning.  Should receive them tomorrow early afternoon.  Got Road Help to start Mike’s truck this afternoon and then I followed him up to Dobbs to get two new batteries—at $200+ each.  At least the truck is now all better.  Ravioli for dinner.  Played spades on line.  The low last night was 56.  The high today was 57.

Mon, May 11, 2020:  Day 51 of self-quarantine:  The roofers were here this morning and finished by the afternoon.  They did a good job.  Pulled the refrigerator out and cleaned under there.  Used to do it once a year.  Think it’s been 3 years.  Wasn’t too bad though.  Have to pull the stove out next.  Another day.  Sunny but cool today.  Low 60s.  Warming up, but with rain. Our friend, Steve, called and blabbed with him for a while.  He always makes me laugh.

Steve helping to clean up after a dinner party I had pre-covid.

David giving me a hug at the same party.  Miss those days of getting together.

Sun, May 10, 2020:  Day 50 of self-quarantine:  A cool and windy day today.  Finished one book and started another.  Did my little aerobic workout and spent about 3 hours watching Doctor Zhivago.  What a great movie.  Such is mother’s day in the covid world.

Sat, May 9, 2020:  Day 49 of self-quarantine:  Started out in the 30s this morning.  Frost warnings all around.  Warmed up pretty quickly though.  Watched Netflix.  Made beef tips and gravy over mashed potatoes for dinner.  My daughter texted me that they had snow in Vermont.  Helloooo—Vermont.  She said Mother Nature is a menopausal, bi-polar bitch.  Pretty funny!  No snow here.  Low 60s today.

Fri, May 8, 2020:  Day 48 of self-quarantine:  Baked peanut putter cookies this morning.  They are so good!  Mike loves them.  Ordered another gringo dip and chips from 54th Street Grill and watched more episodes of Ozark.   Had left-over streak for dinner.  Low 60s today.  Down into the low 30s tonight!
