Thu, Aug 6, 2020:  Day 139 of self-quarantine:  Tossed and turned all night.  But got up this morning and Mike got my Kelty backpack down and I cleaned it up and inventoried it.  Put it on the Internet to sell.  I think I only used the new pack three times.  And I’m selling it with everything in it—sleeping bag, sleeping pad, backpacking stove, water filter, cooking utensils, and other stuff.  Hope it sells.  It’s a really good pack.  My Merrill hiking boots will probably be next.  Low 80s today I think. 

Wed, Aug 5, 2020:  Day 138 of self-quarantine:  I received the Obata prints I ordered and took them to get matted and framed.  They are beautiful.  Mike went off skeet shooting and I watched one of my favorite movies—“Out of Africa” with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford.  A wonderful movie—the scenery, the music, and the story.  Especially the music.  Nice day today—70s.

Tue, Aug 4, 2020:  Day 137 of self-quarantine:  Had my doctor appointment this morning.  Stopped at Popeye’s on the way home for a couple of their chicken sandwiches for lunch.  Took a nap after lunch.  Can’t believe the weather.  Highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s for the next couple of days.

Mon, Aug 3, 2020:  Day 136 of self-quarantine:  Did the cleaning today so tomorrow would be free.  Have a doctor appt. which will last all morning.  So tomorrow I can come home and relax.  Played spades with Nomad in the afternoon.

Sun, Aug 2, 2020:  Day 135 of self-quarantine:  Can’t believe it’s August already.  Time has flown by—even in quarantine.  A really nice day today.  In the low 80s.  Great August weather.  Blew off the deck and wanted to sit outside and read, but the chaise is soaked from all the rain.  Watched the splash-down of the SpaceX flight.  Incredible!

Sat, Aug 1, 2020:  Day 134 of self-quarantine:  Pretty overcast with sprinkles today.  We weren’t going anywhere, so who cares?  Did the laundry, read my book, worked out, and watched TV.  Playing spades with Nomad after this.

Fri, Jul 31, 2020:  Day 133 of self-quarantine:  A rainy, gloomy day today.  Need one of those every so often.  Looks like we’re going to have them all week.  And the temps will be in the high 70s to low 80s.  Nice!  Laid around reading my book for a while and listened to the rain.  Pork chops, mashed potatoes, and a vegetable for dinner tonight.  Playing spades as soon as I post this.
