Mon, Nov 2, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Neither one of us slept very good last night.  Mike because of his latest wasp stings and me—I don’t know.  I struggled to stay awake to see the first episode of “Roadkill” on PBS.  After that I wasn’t sleepy any more.  We got up and started the laundry.  Put the clothes in the washers and then back to our site and had breakfast.  Then went back, put in the dryers, back to our site and putzed around for a while.  Then back to fold.  Finally—done!  Had to send our Netflix DVD back.  We tried to play it in the living room—no luck.  Then in the bedroom—again no luck.  Turns out it was the DVD itself.  Thought our blue ray and DVD player were no longer working.  It’s meatloaf Monday at Crumbs.  So we ordered lunch and picked it up around noon.   Stuffed ourselves.  Lots of leftovers.  The table for our grill we ordered showed up.  Mike put it together this afternoon.  A really nice stainless steel table with shelves, hooks for grilling tools, etc.  A cold front came through last night.  A really pleasant day today in the upper 70s, but really windy.

Sun, Nov 1, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  I got up early, took a quick shower, dressed, and started wiping down stuff outside.  Between the rain and the humidity, everything was wet.  Wiped down the tables, the truck, and the back of the fifth wheel.  Even though it was just washed, it gets dirty quickly.  Then I headed out for my walk.  A beautiful, but humid, day.  Poor Mike.  He was emptying the black water tank and got stung twice by wasps!  One in each wrist.  They are gunning for him!  Beef tips and gravy for dinner tonight.  Got that started and played spades for a while.  Mike has settled down to watch football.  80s today.

Took a picture of the golf course on my walk.

Sat, Oct 31, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  We hired a guy in the park to come and wash our fifth wheel.  He came this morning and was finished by noon.  While he was outside washing we took care of some chores inside—like cleaning the bathroom and giving myself a pedi.  After he left we sat outside reading.  It’s been cloudy all day, so not sure if we’ll see the blue moon tonight.  80s here today.

Our nice, clean fifth wheel.

These little caterpillar-like bugs are everywhere.  This one's on our screen room.

Fri, Oct 30, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Out this morning to stop at the ATM for some cash and then to Walmart to get the trimmer cord and a hose.  Figured while we were there we may as well buy groceries too.  I definitely prefer Winn-Dixie.  But we got that done, took it all home, sanitized it and put it all away.  Talked with Bob one of the guys across the street next to Mark. He said some of the Canadians are flying in.  Guess they can’t drive across the border, but they can fly?  Anyway, trimmed the palm between George/Pam’s place and ours.  Sat outside reading for a while.  Supposed to cool down Monday and Tuesday.  Mid-80s today.  Not too many people social distancing or wearing masks here in the park.  Troublesome. And they have live music at Grumpy’s on the weekends.  They will be packed in there. Would love to go dancing, but not during this Covid thing.  Really troublesome.

Thu, Oct 29, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Sitting outside this morning—me with my smoothie and Mike with his coffee.  I suggested we put the screen room up.  So, we did.  Took us a while.  Last year we had 5 people doing it.  This year it’s just us.  But we were able to do it.  The divorce will be final next month (kidding).  Anyway, the biggest job is done.  I think we’re going to have a gravel driveway put in which will make it a lot nicer.  Maybe some more landscaping.  All I want right now is the TV in the bedroom working.  But I’m reading a really good book right now, so that’ll have to do.  Speaking of books, I walked up to the library this morning, and surprise!  They moved it over to the old work-out building—right down the street from us.  Left the Grisham book I just finished and took another one.  90 again today.

Kentucky Horse Park
(spent a week here a few years ago; they had a horse show every day)

Arabian

Ranger bred in her western garb.

Same horse as an Indian pony.  My favorite.

Wed, Oct 28, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Another beautiful day today.  Mike started the trimming around the patio and ran out of trimmer line.  So we made a run to Clewiston and I picked up some things at CVS.  But Mike couldn’t find any trimmer line for our trimmer.  So he put that off for now.  Then he set up the water softener.  Good thing because the water was tasting pretty bad.  I got Dish on the phone because the TV in the bedroom is not getting a signal.  We have to get in touch with a local distributor and have that fixed.  Spent the rest of the day in the shade reading.  Our neighbor, Todd, stopped by to say hello.  Not sure how many Canadians will make it back.  90 today.

Tue, Oct 27, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  A nice morning today.  The rabbit was outside.  He sat there forever while I futzed around trying to take his picture with my phone.  Went for my walk.  A lot of people not here yet.  No one wearing masks or social distancing.  We still do.  Went to Crumb’s for lunch.  No masks there either.  We took ours to go.  A couple from Missouri came in.  They were the first ones we’ve seen wearing masks.  Troublesome.  Did our laundry and got that out of the way.  A lady in there said it’s not a big thing. People aren’t really dying. It’s all the media.  No worse than the flu.  Okay then.  90 here today. After lunch we played spades for a while.

Thought the cat might go after the bunny.  But she left him alone.

View from our patio.

Mike's hand is swelling up from the wasp sting.
