Fri, Dec 11, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Nice day today.  I started walking up to the office and was almost there when Mike picked me up.  Got our mail and then went to Crumb’s to see about lunch.  People on the deck with no masks.  No one inside was wearing masks.  So we ordered take-out.  It was taking so long I cancelled the order and we left.  Can’t believe people aren’t getting infected with that kind of behavior.  A beautiful, sunny day in the upper 70s.

Venturing out for my walk.

My daughter sent us this beautiful Christmas card which she painted herself.  So talented.  You can't tell from this picture, but it's all sparkly.

Thu, Dec 10, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Another chilly morning, but it turned into a beautiful day.  After our smoothies, Mike made French toast.  Yum!  Sat outside reading for a while.  A bunny was nestled in the palms on our site all day.  Love the bunnies.  Playing spades with Nomad in the afternoon.  In the 70s today.

Wed, Dec 9, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Mike got up before I did this morning, turned up the heat and took out the trash.  I just stayed in bed a while longer—all warm and cozy.  I didn’t even go outside today. Watched a really long movie after lunch and then played spades with Nomad.   What a slug.  60s today only.

Tue, Dec 8, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Went down into the 40s last night.  It’ll be even colder tonight.  Kept the furnace at 65 all night, so we were comfortable.  I had a prescription ready at CVS in Clewiston, so off we went, stopping at the office to pick up our mail.  We ordered take-out at Beef O’Brady’s and picked it up on our way out of town.  In our mail was a package from my sister containing pencil drawings of Mike and I her husband, Dan, did.  He is so talented!  They are great!  Included one of my daughter and her husband also.  Not sure if it made it out of the 50s today, but really sunny.

He took away all our wrinkles and the bags under our eyes!  He really does an amazing job--especially the eyes.

Mon, Dec 7, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Mike did the grocery shopping today.  He LOVES to grocery shop.  We sanitized everything and put it all away.  After lunch Mike noticed the temperature in the freezer going up.  We checked everything and couldn’t find a logical reason for the increase.  It finally started going back down again.  No big deal.  We could have gotten a service call.  Watched a great football game between Missouri and Arkansas the other day.  Mike had stopped watching it because Missouri was playing so badly—according to him anyway.  They came back and scored the winning 18 points in 8 minutes.  We were able to watch the last minutes of the game when it was shown on another channel.  Cold front coming through today.  Sunny, windy, and chilling down.  Probably in the 60s right now.

All back to normal now.

Pearl Harbor Day today.

Sun, Dec 6, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Took care of the laundry today.  Walked to and from a few times—so got my walk in.  Chris was up there again.  Saw her last Sunday.  Seems we’re on the same schedule.  I’ve gotten to know her better because of the one-on-one conversations we have.  Both she and her husband got Covid.  Fever, aches, but mostly exhaustion.  They’re okay now.  They’re part of the biker group in here.  They’re off for a ride today.  Mike and I decided to try Crumb’s for lunch.  He jumped at the idea.  He loves their buffalo wings. We ate out on the deck.  No masks on the wait staff.  But we had our masks on and kept our distance from the waitress.  First time we’ve “eaten out” since we’ve been here.  No one else on the deck until we were leaving.  A really nice day today.  Upper 70s to low 80s.

Sat, Dec 5, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Felt a little chilly to me this morning, so I decided to wear the skirt I made out of an old pair of jeans.  Then went for my walk.  I’m sure people thought it was prom night or something.  Some ignorant person railed at me for wearing a mask.  Such are the days of political vitriol we live in right now.  A beautiful day.  Upper 70s.
