Sat, Dec 26, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  As promised, I got up early, bundled up, and took out the trash.  Just to make up for me being such a crab yesterday.  (I know, it’s hard to believe.)  Crawled back under the covers, turned on the TV, and to my surprise almost all of the channels were gone.  Same with the living area TV.  Called DISH and come to find out stupid me forgot to pay the bill. I would put it on auto pay, but afraid I’ll forget to take it off when we head north.  To make the service stop, you just stop paying and they turn it off and quit charging you. Then when we come back in the winter just pay the monthly bill and, voila, it’s back on again.  Only in the 50s today.  I only ventured out once.  Nice and sunny though.  Left-over pork loin roast with all the trimmings for dinner tonight.

Fri, Dec 25, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Merry Christmas everyone!  Just finished our pork loin roast with all the trimmings.  Now settling down to play spades with Nomad.  Really cold out there.  Wind chills in the 30s.

Thu, Dec 24, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Spent a frustrating morning trying to get help with my stupid smart phone.  No luck.  Tried chat.  Tried talking with someone in person.  No luck.  Gave up for now.  After lunch tried sitting outside to read my latest book.  So windy I gave up.  Playing spades with Nomad shortly.

Wed, Dec 23, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Ran into Clewiston late morning to run some errands and picked up some lunch.  After lunch we played rummy cube again.  This time on the kitchen table instead of the screen room.  Mike is still winning (sigh).  Went out again last night to view Saturn and Jupiter.  I swear you could see Saturn’s rings.  Mike said he couldn’t.  I swear I could.  Tomorrow is the last warm day we’ll have for a while.  Need to take advantage of it.  Mid-70s here today.

Tue, Dec 22, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Went out last night after sundown to view Saturn and Jupiter in the night sky.  They were pretty close together.  Supposedly when they lined up together the “star” would get really bright.  We waited for a while but they hadn’t moved much, so we went in and came back in an hour.  And they were gone!  What the hell?  Where did they go?  Mike said over the horizon—all the planets keep rotating blah, blah, blah.  I need to take an astronomy course.  Frank came over and waxed the fifth wheel.  Chilly today—only in the 60s.  Yesterday while playing spades with Nomad, one of our opponents lost three uncles in 5 days to covid.  And her partner lost his wife in April to breast cancer.  A sad table.  And Frank, the guy that waxed our fifth wheel recently lost his wife.  She was in hospice care when she got covid and that took her.  Hope everyone is careful.  There’s a new, viral strain out there that’s much more contagious.  Great.  Left-over chili tonight.

Mon, Dec 21, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Winter Solstice.  Days will start getting longer now.  Ran into LaBelle to run some errands and stopped at Beef O’Brady’s and picked up a to-go order.  Played spades with Nomad in the afternoon.  Made chili for dinner last night.  Left-overs of that tonight.  Have to watch the evening sky tonight.  Saturn and Jupiter are getting closer and closer and will overlap—causing a bright star in the sky.  We will have clear skies tonight, so we’ll see.

Sun, Dec 20, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Got the laundry out of the way this morning.  I walked up and back twice—so got my walk in.  After breakfast we started playing Rummy Cube in the screen room.  Broke for lunch and then continued playing after.  I won the first round and thought I finally could beat Mike.  But wishful thinking on my part.  The lowest score wins.  So far, I’m at 97 and Mike is at 88.  Game isn’t over yet though.  High 70s today.  Very pleasant.  Our neighbors went out for their Sunday motorcycle ride.  We are so boring.

The object of the game is to get rid of all your tiles.  What is left you add up for your score.  The lowest score wins.

Winning after the first round.
