Thu, Mar 11, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  Did a drug run to Clewiston late morning.  Picked up lunch and brought it back.  In the afternoon we washed the shed which was filthy on one side only.  Don’t know what that’s about, but now it’s pristine.  Low 80s here today.  Pulled pork sandwiches for dinner tonight.

Times Square - NYC

The "Naked Cowboy" guy is always seen in Times Square.  But he came down to Florida and got arrested for panhandling in Ft. Lauderdale.  LOL

Mon, Mar 8, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  Off to the grocery store late morning.  As usual, we picked up lunch on the way home.  It rained most of the day Saturday.  We just stayed in and watched a couple of movies. But we really needed the rain and everything looks a lot greener in here.  They’re installing a huge solar array here in the park.  Not sure how that will affect us.  The park is always making improvements it seems.  In our travels around Florida we’ve seen more and more huge solar arrays.  Pretty innovative I’d say.  72 and windy here today.

Fri, Mar 5, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  Had to pick up our mail today.  So I started out walking and Mike picked me up.  On the way back we picked up lunch at Crumbs.  After lunch I was relaxing reading my book and felt the fifth wheel move.  Oh great, now what!  The one chore we had left to do was to hook up the truck to the fifth wheel, raise all the landing legs and then level it.  I figured this would be a big CF.  We hadn’t hooked it up or leveled it in two years.  But it went okay.  Mike wanted to put down pavers under the landing legs instead of the wood.  So we got that done and I celebrated with a glass or two of wine.  So glad that’s over!  So, now drunk spades this afternoon.  81 today.  The Mexican lasagna was great last night.

Thu, Mar 4, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  A gloomy day today.  Pretty much stayed in all day.  I watched “Unbroken” about Louis Zamperini, the Olympic athlete and soldier who was taken prisoner after his plane crashed in the Pacific while searching for another downed plane and he remained in a Japanese POW camp for the remainder of the war.  A guard there they called “The Bird” tortured him constantly.  The book was great.  Angelina Jolie brought it to the screen.  The sun made an appearance around 3:00.  Made Mexican lasagna for dinner tonight.  Haven’t had that in ages.  Looking forward to it.

Wed, Mar 3, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  Hot again yesterday, but today is cooler with lots of wind.  Much better, except for the wind.  It rained pretty good for a while.  We need the rain.  Playing spades with Nomad shortly.  Italian sausage sandwiches for dinner last night.  Same tonight.  81 today.

Mon, Mar 1, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  Walked early this morning and then we headed to LaBelle for groceries.  Picked up lunch on the way back.  Hot today.  After lunch I sat outside in the shade reading for a while.  Finished the book “In the Heart of the Sea, The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex” by Nathaniel Philbrick.  An amazing true story of the Essex which gets rammed by a pissed off sperm whale.  They had harpooned three of the pod and this huge bull got mad and rammed the ship twice, sinking it.  The 20 crew were stranded out in the middle of the Pacific in three rickety whaleboats with not enough provisions.  A harrowing story.  90 today.  Found a little frog that got squished in the door.

Sat, Feb 27, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  A beautiful day today.  A little hot—pushing 90.  Ran some errands in Clewiston and picked up lunch on our way home.  So, no dinner tonight.  Some critter dug a bunch of holes in our site and put a hole in our screen room.  Sewed up the hole in the screen room and filled the holes in our site.  Everything back to normal now.  On another subject, I can’t believe the violence against Asians going on in this country.  These cowards are attacking 85- and 90-year-olds.  No doubt from the former coward-in-chief rhetoric about the “China virus.”  It’s disturbing what this country is becoming.  Qanon, Proud Boys, other militia groups and conspiracy theories.  And a lot of people still believe the election was stolen.  How ignorant can you be?
