Thu, Nov 4, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  Mostly cloudy today, but very pleasant.  Frank came and washed the fifth wheel and the shed.  I washed the windows inside.  Everything is sparkling—for now.  They burn the sugar cane and black flecks float around and get on stuff.  But for now it’s clean.  Then I got a call from a delivery service out of Miami.  Our “permanent” screen room is on its way.  Should be here in an hour or so.  Much earlier than we expected.  Last night at the happy hour over at Todd and Tim’s they told us two of the kids across the street from them helped put up their car port.  They’re 10 and 12 years old.  Maybe we’ll elicit their help and pay them something.  It wasn’t supposed to ship until the 12th.  It’s over a week early.  Good news!  Can’t wait to get it up.  Back to Tim and Todd’s for happy hour again this afternoon.  Always a fun time.  Upper 70s here today.  Cold front coming through tonight.

Wed, Nov 3, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  Another perfect day today.  Went on a short walk this morning.  Dam blister is still bothering me.  Stopped at the library and picked up another book.  Went by the marina where a rather large boat sunk and took another one with it.  It’s not really much of a marina.  Went to happy hour yesterday afternoon  at Tim and Todd’s. Deb gave me a ride in her golf cart.  There must have been 20 people there at one point.  They gather pretty much every afternoon.  Mike and I decided to go to Crumb’s for lunch today.  They took over Grumpy’s and are now on the riverfront.  It’s a much bigger restaurant and they have a large patio where we ate and watched the boats go by.  Low 80s here today.

Lunch al fresco at Crumb's.

Wed, Nov 2, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  Another nice day today.  We’re on the list to get our RV washed.  It needs it.  Haven’t seen any frogs so far.  Last year there were two instances where one was in our bed!  Creepy frogs.  Drove to Clewiston and got lunch at Beef O’Brady’s.  Brought home to eat it.  After lunch we sat outside reading for a while.  I kept nodding off.  We have a standing invitation to happy hour at a site down the way.  We may go this afternoon.  Playing spades with Nomad.  Upper 70s today and mostly cloudy.

Tue, Nov 1, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  Another beautiful day today.  Our neighbors across the street from us, Mark and Deb, showed up today.  We drove to LaBelle and got the groceries.  Mike put them away while I chatted with a couple walking their Austrailian sheep dog.  She’s only 7 months old and beautiful.  Played spades in the afternoon with Nomad.  Upper 70s today.

Mon, Oct 31, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  An absolutely beautiful morning.  Not a cloud in the sky.  We had the laundry done by 9:30.  Then took care of a few chores.  Not a lot of people in here yet.  Pretty quiet.  Sat outside reading for a while and then some clouds rolled in.  Mike charged up the water softener.  We have well water here, and it’s not the best.  Yesterday, I ordered our new, permanent screen room, a new dinette table and a glass top for the table.  Looking forward to the new screen room.  Just hope we can put it together easily.  Playing spades in the afternoon with Nomad.  Upper 70s here today.

Sat, Oct 30, 2021:   The Glades RV Park:  Rainy this morning.  When it cleared off, I brought the chairs back out.  Shortly after that it poured down again.  So the chairs got wet anyway.  But dried off quickly once the sun came back out.  I took care of some computer stuff and then read my book for a while.  Mike watched a football game.  Pretty quiet day.

Fri, Oct 29, 2021:  The Glades RV Park:  Out for my walk again this morning.  Ended up with a blister—so no walk for a while.  Got a storm last night with lightning, thunder, and horrendous downpours.  Lost power a couple of times—just enough to have to reset clocks.  Beautiful day today, but really windy again.  Supposed to calm down tomorrow.  Drove in to Clewiston to run some errands and picked up dinner.  83 here today.
