Tue, Mar 12, 2024:  Glades RV Park:  It was almost 9:00 when I got up this morning.  After my shower and smoothie I headed out for my walk.  A beautiful day.  Stopped to talk with a guy walking his black lab.  Says he wouldn’t be down here if it wasn’t for his dog.  His wife is still working, so doesn’t join him.  Apparently, he and the lab don’t like cold weather.  Dennis, our tree guy, went by and I talked with him for a while.  He told me on Sunday morning after that horrendous rain storm on Saturday night, he started cooking breakfast on his outdoor stove when he noticed a snake that was pinched in the door.  Apparently, the snake was trying to get in and he closed the door on it.  Yikes!  They have two doors on their fifth wheel.  Not sure if it was the front or back door.  Of course the snake was dead.  Our neighbor, Bill, took a picture of it, so I’ll have to go check it out.  81 today.  Watched Napolean on Apple+.  Great movie.  He now resides in a crypt in The Invalides in Paris.

Mon, Mar 11, 2024:  Glades RV Park:  My sister and her husband arrived here in Friday afternoon.  After sitting around and catching up, we headed to the Riverfront Grill for dinner.  My brother, Ronnie, came over on Saturday.  Love his stories.  Saturday afternoon we met Sandy and Dan at Sonny’s BBQ which was next door to their hotel.  After dinner we said our good-byes and went our separate ways. They headed to the Goodwill thrift store and we headed back to our site.  They left on Sunday. A nice time.  Hopefully we’ll be able to get together again next year.  Now it’s Monday and we’re off to the grocery store.  Fun, fun, fun.

Wed, Mar 6, 2024:  Glades RV Park:  Started raining around 3:00 this morning.  Rained for quite a while.  Stayed gloomy most of the day and continued raining.  So no walk today.  Watched a couple of episodes of “The Tourist” on Netflix and took care of some cleaning.  Played spades in the afternoon with Nomad.  70s here most of the day.

Tue, Mar 5, 2024:  Glades RV Park:  After my walk this morning I charged the lawn mower batteries and then got the trimmer out and took care of some trimming.  Some critter has been digging holes here and there.  Maybe an armadillo or something.  Mike had to pick up a script in Clewiston, so we headed there and after Walgreens we had lunch at the tiki bar.  Really busy for some reason.  Back home and read for a while.  Had a hard time keeping my eyes open.  Played spades with Nomad later.  Nice today.  82 with a little breeze.

Mon, Mar 4, 2024:  Glades RV Park:  Another warm and sultry day today.  I went for my walk shortly after 9:00 and when I got back Mike was up, dressed, and had made the bed.  I had a 1:45 eye appointment today.  So, we left at 11:00, did the grocery shopping and then bought some fast food and went to Barron Park and had a leisurely lunch.  Mike dropped me off at my appointment and waited for me in the truck.  I was done by 2:30 and then we headed home.  Sat outside reading for a while.  Then we were visited by a couple of gals, Lou Ann and Jen, who were next to us a couple of years ago.  Visited with them for a while.  Not sure if they’ll be back here again.  They want to travel around more.  Mostly cloudy today, but really warm.  Perfect!  Last night we got some really heavy rain.  I thought it might have been hail.  Either that or really large rain drops.  It lasted a couple of hours.  This morning I had to wipe everything down.

Sun, Mar 3, 2024:  Glades RV Park:  As soon as Mike got up I went for my walk.  Already warm and humid.  When I got back I made my smoothie and sat outside reading my book until lunchtime.  Watched two more episodes of “The Tourist” while eating.  Outside again with my crossword, but it's just too hot out there.  So back in the AC and played spades with Nomad until dinner.  A very uneventful day.

Sat, Mar 2, 2024:  Glades RV Park:  Got up this morning, washed up and dressed quickly and then went for my walk.  This is the first time it’s been warm enough to walk early.  I love walking early—the quietness, the early morning smells, and the cheerful chatter of the birds.  When I got back Mike was already up, dressed,, and had even made the bed.  Made my smoothie and sat outside for a while.  Got the laundry out of the way and watched more episodes of “The Tourist” on Netflix. Then back outside to join Mike who was reading his book.  It’s cloudy today, so the sun wasn’t beating in the patio.  Going to call my sister and see how she is doing.  Then Mike is going to grill chicken breasts and I made a vegetable salad.  A good day.
