Wagon Trail Resort, Ellison Bay, EI: Started out cloudy this morning. We headed in to Sister Bay to M&M Computers and left the computer so he could reinstall Office XP Pro while we went over to the Sister Bay Café across the street for a great lunch. I had a pork sandwich with sweet & sour cabbage on top and fresh fruit on the side. Mike had some Scandinavian dish that I can’t pronounce, let alone spell. Back and picked up the computer and then stopped at the lounge in our park to finish up our winter reservations. After that we headed to Peninsula State Park with the bikes. Parked at Tennison Bay in the park and biked into Fish Creek. They have the most beautiful bike paths in this park. Not paved—just hard-packed dirt. And they meander through the woods by the lake shore, by some beautiful granite bluffs, and through beautiful, dark cedar forests. The last time we biked here was seven years ago, and somehow the hills seemed higher and the going a little rougher. We stopped at Julie’s Café in Fish Creek and we each had a piece of cherry/rhubarb pie. Very good. Left and got talking to a guy with two sheep dogs. One was an English sheep dog and the other was a cute little Polish something-or-other herd dog. Biked back, stopping by a little marsh with a view of Fish Creek harbor and also stopped and sat for a while on a bench by the lakeshore. Back home and sat outside reading for a while—it was still nice and warm. Took a shower and then watched three more episodes of The Sopranos. Mid-80s today.
