Thursday, January 27, 2011: Les Miserables is the only way to describe the past couple of weeks. Mike was feeling bad first. His went away. Mine didn't After a week or so with a low grade fever which started going up, I decided to go to an Urgent Care facility in Key West to see what they had to say. Tested negative for the flu. They told me I was lucky there because I would have been quarantined for five days. What did that mean? Would I have been locked up somewhere? Hopefully a five-star resort? Or would they just have told me to go home and stay there. Sounded like the former. At any rate, it wasn't the flu. They didn't think it was pneumonia either My fevered mind was running rampant at this point. I was imagining all kinds of scenarios of being led away in cuffs to some rat and snake infested obscure key somewhere. After I snapped back to reality, someone prescribed an antibiotic and a kick-azz cough medicine which seems to be working. All I want to do now is sleep. Oh, and a little Canadian Angel stopped by a couple of days ago with fresh baked banana bread. Thanks, Johanne!
The Lazy Lakes Trailer Trash Band will be playing tonight
Mike and I retired in 2004. Since then we have been traveling in our 5th wheel camper 8 months of the year and home 4 months. Home is in St. Louis, MO.
