Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf
Key, FL, to Okeechobee RV Park, Clewiston, FL:
Left this morning at 9:45 and were on our
way. Before I put the silk plant away
that I keep on our picnic table at our site, I checked to see if there were any
critters in there. Sure enough, a fairly
large lizard had made it his home.
Checked it again, cleaned it up, and set it just inside our door. But when I was putting in one of the slides,
here’s another little lizard on the rear window blinds. We managed to capture him and put him back
outside. Told him he didn’t want to go
where we were headed. After getting out
of the Keys, I got on Florida’s Turnpike and we exited on Rt. 27 north. Stopped at a Marathon station to fuel up and
have some lunch. But there were at least
300 bikers there, so the little tiki bar and restaurant where we were going to
have lunch was slammed. I told Mike let’s
get the hell out of here. He drove the
rest of the way. Got here at Okeechobee and
were set up by 3:00. 80 degrees
here. Probably won’t see that again for
a while.
