Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  A warm and sultry day today.  Charlie stopped by early with Maple.  I had just gotten up.  Made him a cup of coffee and gave Maple a treat or two.  Had a great time last night at the KOA.  My back was sore when we got home after some guy I was dancing with was flinging and twirling me around. Took a couple of Aleve and today it’s fine. Going down Johnson Road on our way to the KOA last night, there was a beautiful sunset on one side of the road and a beautiful moon rise on the other.  Doesn’t get any better than that!  Had breakfast this morning at the Galley Grill and then did a bunch of errands.  Lots of traffic out there on Highway 1.  We’ll be glad when the holidays are over and it quiets down a bit.  Sat outside reading my book after we got home, enjoying the warm sun and tropical breezes.

They fired up the old Johnson outboard to make a batch of margaritas.  They auction off the first one.  This guy bid $1000 and was the high bidder, so he got to make the first batch.  The money goes to Kare Kamp which sends children with cancer and other illnesses to camp for free.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  This morning dawned sunny and cool.  Nice in the sun, but really cool in the shade. We basically stayed inside most of the day.  Tonight we go over to the KOA to see Howard and the MM24 band.  Should be a lot of fun.  Think the high was 71 today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Cloudy most of the day today.  Really warm and humid.  Sat outside reading for a while but had a hard time staying awake.  Our dinner yesterday was great.  Lots of food.  Ate way too much.  Sat around with some friends talking and drinking.  Everyone else had left.  We finally turned out the lights and headed home.  This afternoon we drove in to Key West to see “Jack Reacher” with Tom Cruise.  An okay movie.  Drove back under a clear sky with a full moon making the water sparkle.  Beautiful night!  Still 79!  Only two HOs lit up this year.

Beautiful full moon.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Well, we had a great time at the KOA pub last night.  We ended up staying there instead of going somewhere else for dinner.  The KOA was cooking up burgers and hot dogs and Yankee Jack was performing.  We had a great time just dancing the night away.  Yankee Jack plays the keyboard and sings.  He has a repertoire of some great raunchy songs which were pretty funny.  He plays at The Bull in Key West most nights.  Another spectacular day.  Upper 70s again.  Tonight we go to the Christmas dinner at the clubhouse. Our Cuban neighbors are roasting a whole pig for the dinner.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another perfect day today under a pristine blue sky.  The guys showed up late to wash and wax the fifth wheel.  They did an excellent job though.  They only waxed the front cap, but it turned out better than we've ever had it done.  Next year we’ll get the whole thing waxed.  I went over with Mike for a while when he played shoes.  He couldn't finish his third game though because his back was hurting him so.  Wish the doctors could do something about that. It’s very discouraging for him.  Happy hour tonight.  Maybe a couple of drinks will make him feel better.  We’ll go out for dinner somewhere after—not sure where.  Upper 70s today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Cool this morning, but it warmed up to about 74 by early afternoon.  We decided to go and do our laundry and grocery shopping today, since Tuesday is Christmas and Monday we’re having our RV washed and waxed and Mike wants to try and play shoes.  Got that done and walked over to see Esther and Gerald at their site.  They’re about all set up now.  Charlie stopped over with Maple.  Their site is across from Esther and Gerald.  Blabbed with them for a while and then walked back and I made a chocolate cream pie for Debbie and Craig.  They gave us a Christmas gift, so we wanted to show our appreciation.  We really wanted to eat that pie!  The guys are going to show up at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow for RV washing.  Got to get to bed at a decent hour.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Really breezy and chilly today.  Didn’t even go out.  Watched movies all day.  Left-overs for dinner.
