Got an early start this morning. Left at 8:45. Of course, we didn’t even unhook from the truck, so it didn’t take long to get going. I drove through Montgomery and we stopped at Clanton, AL, to eat. Then Mike drove. We didn’t get to Tupelo until about 3:45. We left Rt. 26 and came over on Rt. 78 through rural Alabama. Really beautiful drive. After setting up in Tupelo, turned on the TV and the Cardinals are playing their last pre-season game in Memphis. Tomorrow is the home opener in St. Louis.
Would love to check out the boyhood home of Elvis and other historic things in the area, but we didn’t want to unhook the truck so we can get out early again. Driving to Blytheville, AR, tomorrow.

Left the Okefenokee this morning at 9:30. Stopped once for lunch. Arrived at Ozark, AL at 2:30. Finally we’re back on central time. First time on the computer in a couple of weeks, so we checked our bank accounts, did e-mail, etc. Then played spades for a while. Have full cable, so watched TV. We’re at the Ozark RV Resort which isn’t bad for a commercial campground. Ozark is about 70 miles south of Montgomery. Tomorrow we drive to Tupelo.
