Wagon Trail Resort, Ellison Bay, WI: Got a late start this morning and decided to go to our favorite breakfast place—The Viking Grill. It’s very close to us, also in Ellison Bay. I had bacon and eggs with wonderful dark rye toast with cherry preserves, and my favorite, a Swedish pancake—which is more like a crepe. Mike had corned beef hash which is made from scratch. It’s frequented mostly by locals, so we get to meet some of their denizens. Drove down the east side of the peninsula through Sister Bay, Ephraim, and Fish Creek. It’s the first time we’ve been here in seven years and it’s hardly changed—thankfully. Rainy and cool all day today. We haven’t been able to access wi-fi—either here in the park or anywhere else in town. Stopped at the library in Sister Bay but couldn’t get on theirs either. So, tomorrow we’re taking the computer to a computer place in Sister Bay to see what they say. While in the library though, I got a library card and took out the DVD “Jane Eyre” which was a PBS Masterpiece Theater presentation of Charlotte Bronte’s book. We watched the first part (2 hours) this afternoon and will watch the other 2 hours tomorrow.
