Wed, Feb 22, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  Awakened to the sound of rain this morning. And it rained and rained—really heavy at times. At a break in the rain I walked the trash down to the dumpster. Had to walk through ankle deep water since the roads in here are pretty much flooded. Around 1:00 the storm clouds cleared revealing a beautiful blue sky. Tonight we’re going down to the Tropic to see “Harry and Snowman”—a documentary about a Dutch immigrant who bought this Amish plow horse for the purpose of giving riding lessons. A dapple gray who was almost white, hence the name Snowman.  He sold the horse eventually. But the horse escaped and came back to Harry. Harry realized this horse had to jump a bunch of high fences to get back to his former home, so he started training him in jumping. Long story short, this Amish plow horse destined for the slaughter house won the triple crown of jumping with Harry on his back. What a great story! Looking forward to seeing it tonight. Only showing for one night. We’re heading down for dinner at Two Cents and then to the movie. Even though it’s clear right now, there are more storms lurking out there in the Gulf. So, awnings put away, umbrellas in hand, and off we go. Low 70s today.
