Birmingham South CG, Birmingham, AL, to KOA Memphis, TN: Left at 9:00 this morning and Mike drove through Birmingham. 30 miles on I65 and then we got off so we could get on Rt. 78 west. There was a Flying J at that exit so we had breakfast and topped off the tank. I drove for a couple of hours and then Mike took over. We hit a stretch of bad road right over the Mississippi line and saw a bad wreck with a semi and a small car. Fortunately, it wasn’t in the west bound lanes so we lucked out. Didn’t look like the people in the small car fared very well though. A bunch of construction under way on 55/40 and it was rough going for a while. Think we'll come down through Nashville next time. We’re staying at the W. Memphis KOA. Tomorrow we head home. 78 today.
