KOA, W. Memphis, AR, to Shady Cove RV Park, Hattiesburg, MS:  Left this morning at 10:00, continuing south on I-55.  Stopped at a Flying J and fueled up before heading over the Mississippi River into Memphis.  We very quickly crossed into Mississippi.  A pretty drive through heavily wooded, gently rolling hills.  Mostly pines, but enough hardwoods to enjoy the fall colors.  Stopped at a truck stop after driving for a couple of hours and had some lunch.  Then back on the road.  I continued driving since Mike wasn’t feeling too great.  We stopped again about 40 miles north of Jackson, MS, to fuel up and then Mike started driving.  Took Rt. 49 out of Jackson and it took another two hours on this iffy road in places to get to Shady Cove.  Got here by 5:00 and set up.  Only here for a night and tomorrow we head to Dauphin Island where we’ll spend three days. Hope Rt. 49 is better.  Hit 78 today.  And a beautiful, sunny day.  Think it’s supposed to rain some tomorrow.
