Spanish Trail RV Park, Moab, UT:  Today was a kick back day.  We all relaxed in the shade and took it easy.  In the evening, Rick grilled burgers, I made a corn casserole, and Andrea made a salad.  After dinner we played Mexican Train until dark.  They’re teaching us how to play.  It is a fun game.

 Spanish Trail RV Park, Moab, UT:  Drove to Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park today.   We did Canyonlands first which is an amazing place—harsh, rugged, and beautiful.  Dead Horse Point we saw from the river on our jet boat ride and decided to go check it out.  There are several legends as to how Dead Horse Point got its name.  The favorite one is…the early cowboys used this high mesa to drive horses into one end and then they’d corral them in.  So, the horses would have a 2000 ft. cliff on three sides and fencing on the other.  Nowhere to go.  Legend is that the horses died of thirst up there—with the Colorado River only 2000 feet below. Can only hope that’s only a legend.  Came back after our excursion and pooled our left-overs for dinner.  Played Trivial Pursuit until dark.  Another beautiful day today.
