St. Louis to W. Memphis KOA:
Left St.Louis at this morning. Mike stopped at our local donut shop before we hooked up the RV and bought some donut holes and a cup of coffee, so I started out driving so he could relax and enjoy. We headed out on the 270 bypass and cut off on I55 south. After we left the populated areas we enjoyed the scenic rolling hills and neat little farms of eastern Missouri. After Cape Girardeau we dropped down into the flats of the Missouri boot heel and then through the flat fields of cotton and rice in northeastern Arkansas. We stopped in Sikeston for fuel and food and Mike took over driving. While we were eating we got talking to a couple next to us from Ontario who were heading to Texas for the winter. We pulled into the KOA at W. Memphis at about and were set up by . I cooked up a bunch of stuff before we left St. Louis, so we’ll heat up some of those left-overs for dinner tonight. Leave tomorrow morning for an RV park just north of Jackson, MS, for one night.
