Daisy

Cute little Waterfront Playhouse

Mallory Square

Wed, 2/25/09

Sugarloaf Key: Went for a walk this morning and gave Daisy her treat. She still barks at me but when I walk up to the fence she cowers. She’s really a big baby. On the way back stopped at Charlie and JoAnn’s site and talked with them for a while. Later in the afternoon Mike and I drove to Key West to see the play “Bitch Slap”—a funny play about the contentious relationship between Joan Crawford and Betty Davis. The two were played by a couple of Key West’s best “female impersonators”. The Waterfront Playhouse was originally an old ice house and was converted to a theater in 1960. It’s a cute little place. Before the show we had dinner at a Cuban restaurant, El Meson de Pepe, right next door on Mallory Square. After dinner we walked around Mallory for a while.

Sugarloaf Key:
Had Stanley Steamer out this morning. They cleaned the carpet and some of the furniture. Also had them put on Scotch Guard treatment. After that we just hung out. Talked about going into Key West for dinner, but my stomach wasn’t feeling so great so we just relaxed and stayed here.
