KOA, Gallup, NM:  Really cold last night.  Had to get up during the night and put the quilt on the bed.  Once the sun came up though, it warmed up quickly.  After lunch we drove over to Red Rock State Park to check it out.  Not much, although they did have a campground which seemed to be occupied mostly by a colony of prairie dogs.  There was a rodeo going on in the outdoor stadium.  We took a little drive on the road past the park entrance for a few miles which meandered past odd rock formations, buttes, and mesas.  I can see why they made movies in this area.  The road dead ended in a few miles with signs all over warning of radiation removal in progress. OK then.  Turned around and headed back before we started glowing in the dark.  Guess the area is noted for its uranium mines.  Relaxed the rest of the afternoon.  Wind died down some. But the smoke from the wildfires in Arizona were making our eyes water.  Decided to stay inside with the air conditioning on.  84 today.  Tomorrow we leave for Flagstaff.
