Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Woke up Monday morning hoarse after Sunday’s Super Bowl game.  Did a lot of screaming and yelling.  Took care of the cleaning on Monday, but we didn’t go to happy hour.  Went to bed early.  Tuesday we did the laundry and grocery shopping.  Took some stuff home for Gerald and Esther. Back home and dropped off their groceries and got talking with the Canadians and Esther and Gerald’s neighbor, Jan, who is from Atlanta.  Charlie and Johanne were just leaving to do their grocery shopping.  What an exciting day!  Mike picked up our Netflix which is a two-parter about Kennedy’s 1000 days. Think we’ll watch that tonight.  78 today.  Nice!

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Up ‘til the wee hours last night over at Charlie and Johanne’s.  We took some shrimp and chips and salsa and Johanne had some delicious chocolate covered strawberries.  Much beer and wine was consumed.  Esther and Gerald were there and others kept stopping by.  Stumbled out of there at around 1:30.  This morning I stumbled out around 8:30 and Charlie stopped by.  Over to the Super Bowl party at the clubhouse.  Martin barbecued a bunch of ribs and everyone brought something.  There was a ton of food.  The Canadians provided a keg of beer.  We left after eating so we could watch the game at home.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Cool again this morning, but sunny and nice.  The wind demanded warm clothing however.  We had breakfast at the Galley Grill.  Mike had steak and eggs and I had bacon and eggs and two slices of ciabata French toast.  Came back and sat outside reading for a while.  Gerald stopped by with a book for me.  While he was here Esther and Carol stopped by on their walk around the lake.  After they left, Mike and I took a walk around the lake.  Came back and I settled down on my chaise outside to continue reading and just enjoying this beautiful day.  The sky is a beautiful sapphire blue, the Australian pines even greener against the blue of the sky.  Then a wispy streak of cloud floated by, as if painted by an artist’s brush.  It just doesn’t get much better than this.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Blustery and cold this morning.  Planned on seeing a movie at the Tropic.  But after I noticed a leak under our bathroom sink, Mike tried to tighten it and it broke.  So he had to go out and get a part and installed it okay. Too late to head to Key West.  I wasn’t crazy about schlepping around Key West with the cold wind anyway, so we just hung out inside and watched movies.  The sun finally came out in the afternoon.  Around 70 today.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Started out nice this morning.  Charlie stopped by early with Maple.  We’re sitting around talking and Karen showed up with a book for me.  Then this squall line came through from the west, the wind picked up and it got cold.  Charlie and Karen headed back to their respective sites and we hunkered down inside.  It came through quickly but never really warmed up.  So Mike biked over and picked up our Netflix in the mail.  We watched “Mirror has Two Faces” which was excellent.  Barbara Streisand produced, directed and starred in the movie, along with Jeff Bridges, Lauren Bacall, and other notable actors. Warmed up soup for dinner.  Our dinner last night at the clubhouse was great and a bunch of us played a card game after.  We were the last ones to leave again.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  A beautiful, warm, sunny day today.  Unfortunately, my sinuses were bothering me so didn’t do much.  Didn’t even go for a walk.  Probably should have—it probably would have made me feel better.  Dinner tonight at the clubhouse.  Maybe that’ll bring me out of my stuffy-head, sinus-headache funk.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Today started out our usual Tuesday—laundry and grocery shopping.  Ran into Esther and Gerald in Big Pine who were heading to the grocery store.  They had their motor cycle, so we took some things home for them.  After our pizza we dropped off their stuff and then headed back to put our stuff away.  Then I was sitting outside reading my book and Mike was inside on the computer and Esther and Gerald stopped by on their bikes.  Wanted to know if we wanted to bike over to the KOA with them—Gerald wanted to buy a book at the store there.  I said no—we were in a pizza coma.  But after they left I said to Mike let’s go.  So we biked over there and caught them in the store.  His book was gone already.  So we headed to the pub for a drink and who do we find there but Jerry with his banjo and another guy, John, with his guitar.  His wife played the accordion.  They wanted someone to play the washtub bass, so I volunteered.  Esther and I took turns playing the bass.  So it was an impromptu jam session.  We had a great time.  Then they suggested we come over for some nachos and we took some shrimp and wine and we had an impromptu supper.  Johanne and Charlie came over later.  A very interesting spur-of-the-moment afternoon and evening.  Pictures to follow.
