Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another mid-80s day today.  Neither one of us wanted to cook today, so we went back to Roostica and had their Sunday gravy night.  Really good.  Driving back at 6:00 it was still 80 degrees.  Wonderful, balmy night.  Came back and found a Christmas gift on our step from Debbie and Craig.  She makes these wonderful candles.  This one smells like butter cream.  Nice!

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Had breakfast at the Galley Grill this morning and then we headed to the flea market on Big Pine Key.  I bought some lobster trap markers to hang off our king pin on the fifth wheel and then we just walked around.  Mike stopped at this place that had nothing but nuts, bolts, drill bits, clamps, etc., and guys were walking around with their eyes glassed over.  Mike bought a couple of tent pegs.  He just loves this booth.  Walked up and down all the aisles and then decided to head over to the Blue Hole.  Drove all the way down Key Deer Blvd.  Only saw one key deer.  There was a beautiful osprey at the Blue Hole, and the small alligator is still there.  Came back and Mike dropped me off at Johnson Road and I walked the rest of the way back.  Relaxed the rest of the afternoon outside enjoying the blue sky and tropical breezes.  85 today.  Winter Solstice today—shortest day of the year.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Sunny, breezy and nice today.  After breakfast I went for my walk around the park and down Johnson Road and back.  Ran into Jerry on his walk.  Mike met me at the office and then we walked around the lake and back to our site.  Sat outside and Muttley came over to see if he could score a treat.  Of course we obliged him.  Sat outside reading for a while.  Had dinner at a new Italian restaurant on Stock Island—Roostica.  I had spaghetti and meatballs and Mike had a pizza.  Brought the pizza bones (crusts) back for our canine friends.  Mid-80s today and beautiful.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Started out nice and sunny, but clouded up by lunch time.  I got my trekking poles and went for a walk around the park and down Johnson Road and back.  A little chilly in the afternoon.  So we watched our Netflix movie, “Margin Call” which was quite good.  Mid-70s today.  We’ll take that.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Our usual Wednesday.  Did the laundry at the KOA and then drove to Big Pine Key to do the grocery shopping and have some lunch.  Italian dinner tonight at the clubhouse.  I’m making a grape salad to take.  Have never tried this recipe before.  Should be interesting.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  The sun was in and out today.  I was mostly in all day.  Started out in shorts but ended up in sweats.  We lost our power around 3:00, and since we were heading to Key West tonight to McConnell’s Pub on Duval to hear Fiona, we left early, figuring we could browse the galleries up in that section of Duval.  Parked at the Centennial Bank on Whitehead and then walked to McConnell’s from there.  There was a whole group from Lazy Lakes, and Jerry brought his banjo and accompanied Fiona several times.  It’s amazing how much better I walked back to the truck.  I was very fluid.  Shows ya what five vodka tonics can do for you.  Mid-70s today.

Lazy Lakes RV Resort, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Rather chilly this morning.  We donned shorts and tees, but I sure didn’t venture out.  Mike went over for donuts and I did a little cleaning.  Will have to change into jeans and a sweatshirt for happy hour tonight.  Didn’t walk today either.  What a slug.  73 today but breezy—making it feel cooler.
