Fri, Nov 1, 2019:  Lake Pan RV Park, Lake Pan, FL, to The Glades RV and Golf Resort, Moore Haven, FL:  Left Lake Pan at 10:00 this morning under a sunny sky.  I drove for 1-1/2 hours and then Mike took over.  Ran into clouds around Sarasota.  A really smooth drive because I75 is really good road.  Only one slow down because of construction.  Got here at around 1:30 and set up.  I really like our site.  We’re next to a park model.  Didn’t put our mat out because we have a cement patio.  We have a great view of the golf course from our patio.  91 when we got here.  Hope it cools down a little.

Our site--not quite set up yet.

View of the golf course in the distance from our patio.

My sister, Sandy, and her husband, Dan.

Wed, Oct 30, 2019:  Tallahassee East RV Park, Tallahassee, FL, to Lake Pan RV Park, Lake Pan, FL:  Left Tallahassee at 9:45 and arrived in Lake Pan at 1:15. Only took 3-1/2 hours instead of 4.  After unhooking and getting set up, we did a load of laundry.  It’s HOT here.  Hope it cools down a little.  90 right now.  Have to get a bite to eat somewhere, since the soup I made for the trip is almost gone.  I’d rather go out anyway.

There's a carpet of these little wild flowers all around us.

Deer Run RV Park, Troy, AL, to Tallahassee East RV Park, Tallahassee, FL:  Left this morning at 9:45 in the rain.  Just drizzling here, but much heavier as we continued south.  Thought it would be a short drive, but it took 4 hours.  Had to go through Troy and Dothan with lots of traffic lights.  We’re now on Eastern time (sigh) so we lost an hour.  It’s 77 here and really humid.  Guess I better go shave my legs.  No more jeans.  Yes!

Saw this critter as we left Deer Run.

Birmingham South RV Park, Pelham, AL, to Deer Run RV Park, Troy, AL:  Left this morning at 11:45 and arrived at Deer Run by 2:00 and were set up by 2:15.  Short drive today and tomorrow.  A nice, sunny day.  And I65 was good from Birmingham to Montgomery.  They’re working on the highway there.  It’s about time.  Birmingham is still awful.  The couple in the site next to us stopped over and we blabbed for a couple of hours.  They’re full-timers.  They used to be over-the-road truck drivers, so pulling a fifth-wheel is nothing to them.  75 when we got here.  Supposed to be rainy tomorrow (sigh).

Our ghoulish campers toasting marshmallows along with their ghoulish wiener dog.  The people at Birmingham South RV Park have a sense of humor.

Sun, Oct 27, 2019, KOA, W. Memphis, AR, to South Birmingham RV Park, Pelham, AL:  Left this morning at around 9:00.  I decided to drive, although I was a little nervous since I hadn’t hauled the fifth wheel in a while.   I hate driving over the I55 bridge because it’s very narrow with no shoulder.  But I made it okay.  One time I was driving over this bridge and a semi passed me.  OMG!  Anyway, no issues this time.  Driving through W. Memphis is not a problem.  Headed east on I22 via the 269 extension.  Stopped at Tupelo and had lunch and Mike took over driving.  I hate driving through Birmingham because I65 is such a mess.  They need to fix it.  Anyway, got here at 3:00 and were set up by 3:30.  Tried to turn on our Dish and were successful!  Couldn’t get it yesterday because the weather was so bad.  It’s pretty sunny here so we have Dish.  Yesterday we just put up the antenna and got local channels.  Here for one night.  Not unhooking.  Tomorrow we leave for Deer Run RV Park in Troy, AL.  Short drive.  It’s 65 and sunny here.  Nice!

Sat, Oct 26, 2019,   St. Louis, MO, to KOA, W. Memphis, AR:  Left this morning at 9:30 in a cold rain (49).  Took I270 to I55 south.  I55 is a pretty drive—what with the rolling hills and the trees showing off their fall colors.  Rained pretty hard at times.  Some flooding.  Needless to say Mike did all the driving.  Got to W. Memphis and were set up by 4:00.  Made one stop in Sikeston for some lunch.  It’s still raining.  Supposed to be clear tomorrow.  Here for one night and then we head to Birmingham, AL.
