Mon, Apr 27, 2020:  Day 37 of self-quarantine:  We’re celebrating our 27th anniversary today.  To celebrate we took the Lincoln out and topped off the tank.  Picked up my scripts at CVS—which weren’t ready of course.  And then drove to the Mills, a large mall in the STL area which was supposed to be turned into a large sports complex.  Nothing happening there.  Probably won’t now.  Steaks, potatoes au gratin and sugar snap peas for dinner tonight.  60s today.

Sat, Apr 25, 2020:  Day 35 of self-quarantine:  Rainy, windy, and cold today.  A good day to curl up with a book or stream on Netflix.  Which is just what we did.  Worked out briefly out of guilt.  Salad for dinner.  50s today.

Fri, Apr 24, 2020:  Day 34 of self-quarantine:  The carpenter showed up this morning to check on the soffit.  Apparently, the roofers left some rotted wood when they put the shingles on.  Have to see if there is any warranty.  Aldi delivered groceries.  Waiting to hear from our HOA before we have any work done.  70 today.  Thunder storm out there right now.

Thu, Apr 23, 2020:  Day 33 of self-quaranntine:  Rainy today.  And we realized the problem with our gutter helmet was a soffit problem.  So I got on-line with Home Advisor and arranged for a carpenter to come out.  Probably some rotted wood.  After that I watched Highwaymen with Kevin Costner.  Fell asleep actually and missed part of it.  Last night I got on the computer at around 8:00 to add something to my Schnucks order and realized our shopper was already shopping.  She delivered the groceries at 9:00 and we sanitized and put everything away.  The larder is full.  The larder is overflowing.  And we have another delivery in a day or so.  Grilled chicken and four-bean salad tonight.  50s today.

Wed, Apr 22, 2020:  Day 32 of self-quarantine;  Sunny and nice today.  I made a five-bean salad to go with our left-over chicken breasts.  Spent most of the day watching “Spy” on Netflix.  A great series—and a true story.  Worked out a little bit.  And I just poured myself a glass of wine and am downstairs getting ready to play spades for a while.  75 today.

With friends in Door County.

Tue, Apr 21, 2020:  Day 31 of self-quarantine:  Not a great day today.  Beautiful and sunny though.  Buzzed Mike. Didn’t sleep well last night so napped a lot.  Waited all day for a call back from my doctor’s office and when the phone finally rang, I hit something I shouldn’t have and it went straight to voice mail.  Called back right away.  The office is now closed.  Will call again tomorrow.  Decided to try Grubhub for dinner.  Ordered a couple of burgers from McDonalds.  The bill came to $40.  The food items totaled $19.  The rest was fees, taxes, and a tip.  Cancelled my subscription  Upper 60s today.

My daughter sent a watercolor of Mike and me in our Covid-19 garb.  She is so talented.  And she took away the bags under my eyes and my wrinkles.

Mon, Apr 20, 2020:  Day 30 of self-quarantine:  We finally got the stuff we ordered three weeks ago from Walgreens delivered.  After lunch I watched “The Irishman” with Dinero and Pacino.  Great movie.  Long.  60s again today, but sunny most of the day.  I ate so much watching the movie I didn’t bother with dinner.  Mike had left-over chicken.
