Sat, Nov 28, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  A quiet, do-nothing day today.  Went for my walk early while Mike was still asleep.  Another beautiful day.  Around lunch a group of our neighbors were getting ready to do another ride on their Harleys.  Was over talking to Mark and Deb across the street from us.  They never wear masks.  Guess they have no fear of Covid.  We seem to be the rare exception.  Mark said they were going to stop at a restaurant somewhere on their ride.  I’m sure with no masks.  As long as we’re safe.  Mid-80s today.  Next week it’s supposed to be in the 70s and 60s!

Fri, Nov 27, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Didn’t wake up until 8:45 this morning and had to hustle to get the trash out to the road.  They pick up at 9:00.  Got that out of the way and wiped everything down.  Then went for my walk.  Did a mile today.  A beautiful day it was too.  After lunch I fell asleep watching some stupid game show.  Since it’s nice and shady on our patio around this time, we sat outside for a while enjoying this beautiful day.  Played spades for a while with Nomad.  Left-over turkey and all the trimmings for dinner again tonight.  Mid-80s today.

The Activity Center and pool area.

Continuing on my walk.

Thu, Nov 26, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Happy Thanksgiving!  Watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day “Parade.”  A little different this year.  Putting the turkey breast in at noon.  Planning on eating at 2:00.  Looking forward to it.  Will watch the dog show.  Hoping to find a nice holiday movie to watch, or maybe football.  84 today.

Wed, Nov 25, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Went for my walk early this morning.  Came back, had breakfast and got on the computer.  Finally got the personal property tax paid.  Back to Clewiston to pick up an order from Walmart.  This worked out well.  I ordered on line and requested the pick-up-at-the-store option.  Had to go in the store to the kiosk where I entered my name, and in about 2 minutes a person showed up and went into a back room and brought out my order.  Easy.  The store was packed with grocery shoppers though.  Back home and made the orange/cranberry bread for tomorrow’s dinner.  Cloudy pretty much all day today.  81 for the high.

Golf Course busy this morning.

The little slough on my walk this morning.

Orange/cranberry bread--so good!

Tue, Nov 24, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Spent most of the morning on the computer and accomplished nothing.  Tried to pay my personal property tax on-line, but the site wasn’t ready yet.  Tried to access Beef O’Brady’s web site to no avail.  We wanted to order lunch and pick it up while in Clewiston later, but we’ll have to do it in person.  So, stopped on the way to Walgreens to order our sandwiches.  Picked them up on our way out of town.  The place was packed—no masks.  No wonder Florida is a hot mess.  But the sandwiches were delicious.  Saved half of mine for dinner.  A really nice day out there.  After lunch we sat out on the patio reading and getting some sun.  Low 80s today.

Mon, Nov 23, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  A nasty start to the day—foggy and a slight drizzle.  Wiped everything down outside.  After breakfast we headed to LaBelle to get the grocery shopping out of the way.  More crowded than usual, but not bad.  Put everything away and then watched more of The Kennedys while Mike read his book.  Around 1:00 it finally cleared off.  Sat outside reading for a while. Think it hit 81 today.  Hot dogs for dinner tonight along with 8-bean salad.

Sun, Nov 22, 2020:  The Glades RV Park:  Got the laundry out of the way this morning.  That’s about it.  I was binge watching documentaries/movies about the Kennedys.  A bunch of our neighbors took off on their motor cycles to terrorize folks in Glades and Hendry Counties.  That’s about it.  A quiet day today.  Low-80s today.
