Sugarloaf Key: Really windy last night, but a beautiful, sunny day today. And cool—upper 60s. Went to Pizza Works for lunch and then came back and we had another party at the clubhouse with free food and beer and Howard Livingston and the MM24 band. After the band left, some guys in the campground got together and played. Two guitars and a banjo. Two Canadians and a Michigander. They were so good and we had a great time. Hated to see it end here on Key West time. Hope I don’t feel like crap tomorrow.

Sugarloaf Key: A cloudy, chilly, windy day today. Hardly went out at all Spent a lot of time on the computer and reading. Made chili for dinner. Tonight was movie night at the club house, so we walked over and saw “The Women”. Had already seen it, but was good enough to see again.

Sugarloaf Key:
Hung out inside just about all day. At 5:30 we headed to Kingstons Clam Bar and had dinner before going to the Tennessee Williams Theater to see Joan Rivers. A great show. She looks incredible and has so much energy. She must be in her mid- to upper-70s but she was on stage for an hour and a half constantly talking and walking. And she did it in 3 inch heels. After the show they had an incredible buffet. A guy we saw at the restaurant eating alone was at the theater also. He was in the “Producers Circle” bar which is exclusive for rich people only I guess. Lots of locals there. A fun night. Spitting rain when we came back. I think it only reached 69 today. Guess this is our winter.

Reading my book...

Sugarloaf Key: Cool but sunny today. We headed to Key West with the laundry in the afternoon and got that done. Then we went to see the Clint Eastwood movie, “Gran Torino”. Really good movie. But a Clint Eastwood movie is almost always good.

Cruise ship in Key West (big yacht to the left)

Sugarloaf Key: A cloudy, but warm day today. We went to the Galley Grill for breakfast and then up to Big Pine to do the grocery shopping. Came back, put everything away and then relaxed all afternoon. Dinner at the clubhouse tonight. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, salad, and chocolate cake for $4 each. Can’t beat that. After dinner, Jerry and Charlie played banjo and guitar respectively. An Appalachian night. Charlie is a French Canadian. Would have loved to hear him sing something in French. Another cold front coming through and we’ll have cooler weather for a while. Will have to check out the movies. 81 today.

Lazy Lakes Pool

The party-going bulldog

Sugarloaf Key: Another beautiful, sunny, cloudless day. At least it started out that way. Clouded up a little in the afternoon. Just hung out today reading and relaxing. In the afternoon we went over to Boondocks and had dinner. Our Canadian friend dropped by our site for a while in the afternoon. The football game last night was great. Arizona beat Carolina 33-13.
